Guess what it was all the Chantry's fault to begin with. If they didn't tell everyone that mages are living sin. See. this is the problem I have with pro-mage arguments. There is way too much blame shifting. "Oh the Templars made them do it" or "Oh the Chantry made them do it." No. They made the decisions themselves. Wynne lived under Circle rule, she didn't turn to blood magic or demons. Irving did too. Bethany actually stated that she enjoyed the Circle. This whole "opression leading to violence" thing does not hold weight. Maybe if every other encounter with a mage didn't include some kind of demon people would be willing ot hear the mages side more often.

This is the problem I have with pro-templars, they only blame the mages. They refuse to see them as people who can and are influnced by their sitiuations. They also refuse to see their saintly rapists as any part of the problem.

Though if the slaves of Tevinter rebelled they would be happy jump behind them, well they would jump behind the mundane slaves but the mage slaves they would call for their execution along with Magisters. 

Also Bethany didn't like the Circle she just believed the Chantry's crap. Stating she and all mages are cursed an evil and need to be controlled or killed in other words she was brainwashed along with Wynne.

And a problem I have with certain pro-mages is their propensity to classify any sort of dissent from the recipients of their "charity" as mental sickness and/or manipulation.

I honestly thought that if you destroyed the demon in the mortal realm it would turn into a Wisp in the Fade since it doesn't have as much power in the real world. I killed Connor because I thought he was forever tainted by the Demon and is now like a beacon for other Demons to single him out.

I don't think there's no possible way to truly kill a demon unless they are sundered from the Fade,otherwise they will come back in some form.

Well, at least that is more prudent than to punish a kid with death for simply wishing to protect his father. The death of Conner should never be a åunishment, but simply a solution to a problem.

Bethany actually said that she enjoyed some parts of the Circle life, She also said that the Templars were mostly polite to her and didn't want to do things like the Harrowing. Let's all stop whitewashing the details.

The major difference is, a bad Templar can ruin a few mages lives. A bad mage can destroy a whole enitre village.

Technically they don't even have to be bad mages.

Ah, my mistake. I looked up the Bethany videos again. I could've sworn I saw one where she was happy about her situation in the cirlce. I was mistaken.

And I do acknowledge that some Templars actions have created some situations we've seen in the game. However, just like any other group of people, there are bad Templars and good Templars. Even if there are bad Templars, the Circle is still necessary.

No Bethany didn't like the circle. You acknowledge the templars actions have created some situations in the game. Where? Where do you even hint at this? You don't. And yeah there are some, SOME, good templars but not many. The circle is necessary but needs to be replaced by something that isn't a hell hole.

Your new description of why you did it certainly sounds better since it is more you did it to protect others rather than punish the boy.

I'm glad you liked that. The irony of the situation compared to Connor's was too good to ignore using that joke.
