Mass Effect 3 will  be the end of Commander Shepard's story but the Mass Effect Universe will continue on into other installments. Also an interview with Dr. Greg Zeschuk.

Well.. Duh, If anything the whole Shep story setting up the Universe for other stories, This game pretty much tell you early on there more going on out there then your own story.

Yeah, that's pretty clear, I mean setting up a franchise like this, a world with all the lore and design, etc, it would be a waste to let it go after the trilogy.

However I have fears that two-lettered evil will get their money-dirty hands on the franchise. But as long as remains a BioWare - franchise, I'd be happy with it.

Yeah, I know. I was just posting this incase somebody didnt know that. And Besides the link also takes you to the Kotaku podcast which is an interview with one of the founders of Bioware, Dr.Greg Zeschuk  .

Wrex needs his own game, call it Wrex N' Effect. They can even redo Wrex N' Effect's song "Rump Shaker" as "Hump Shaker" to refer to the giant back hump that the most proud and powerful krogans have.

The other games to follow will all most likely be prequels, since you make so many decisions to determine the galaxy's future, and Bioware has repeatedly stated that there is no standard canon to the franchise stating one of the options as the "real" one.



That doesn't trouble me though - there's still decades worth of material to cover, after all.

Well, I honestly wasn't aware that it would continue beyond ME 3.



That is excellent to hear.



Heck, what would be neat Lightice_av would be if the save from ME 3 was transfere to the new games. So - those events would keep carrying through all the "Non-Shepard" games.

In what way would it ruin it?, it would expand it. Adding new races, planets etc.

I'd like to see an action adventure game sorta like uncharted 2, set in ME universe.

i'm glad on the one hand and on the other hand I'm nervous it'll get the star wars expanded universe treatment. "This new character is Wrex's little brother T-Rex!!! Saren has come back from the dead!!!!(or even better...Saren built Legion as a kid for his slave mother but it's mind was wiped) Saren had a secret spectre apprentice that had all his biggest exploits in the two years between me1 and 2.



I'm not trying to rip anybody that digs the star wars expanded universe. I'm just saying that the bigger the franchise gets the harder it is to maintain quality control and continuity. If bioware can retain control and pull this off well more power to em....

Except TOR and KoTOR are barely related, TOR takes place 300 years after.
