The Mako was a great innovation in creating the sense of an expanded universe. Suddenly the world of ME was more than galaxy maps and endless corridors. Distance became an obstacle to overcome.

The Mako's only letdowns was some hard to master handling and some largely empty maps with very few POI's within the invisible boundaries of the landing zone.

But these are the same people who polished ME1's gunplay into it's slicker and tighter controlled ME2/3 incarnation.

ME4 could do worse than to give the player a new vehicle to bring back that 'The terrain is huge, thank goodness I have this enormous tank to cover it quickly or I'd be walking' vibe.

From that BW can extend to tank care and maintence. Tank upgrading. Tank garage's for different vehicle types for different terrain's.

Once you start to reinvent how people relate to the Mako, and by extention, how they relate to the in game world by providing the player tools they can manipulate and tailor to their tastes then the vehicle sections of ME stand to enchance the experience of playing an ME game.

After all. Who want's endless corridor shooters in a franchise that offer's an entire galaxy?

I tend to agree when it comes to the gameplay, possibly the plot as well for how "invested" everyone seems to be about it and how it is addressed, but rpg elements is a bit of a strech isn't it?

I mean, it had an inventory system and a crappy driving segment in bland enviroments for dumb and uninteresting mission segments. How much more rpg could you get?

I don't like it when "RPGs" try to give you the illusion of freedom. I wish we'd eventually get an open-world, story-driven single-player RPG, truly open-world.

It has the most RPG elements but they are sadly broken. The levelling is poorly balanced and you become god around 8 levels in (Or I am just really luck with my builds) this makes the equipment system pointless due to you already being overpowered. The economy is broken you have so much money you never have to surrender any items, the mako while giving the universe depth goes entirely against all the levelling you have done. The strength, speed and durability will always remain the same.

Edit my spelling sucks

Edit 2 formatting.....

You're not playing on Insane or whatever the highest difficulty is called.

Don't you need to be insane to play on insane difficulty?

I'd have to disagree with you on that, on all of that. btw, what difficulty do you play on?

I actually tested that you become god at level 17 instead.

I don't see how difficulty settings have anything to do with this, outside of trying to discredit a point through dick measuring.

If it worked, it should work across all boards, not just on a single difficulty setting. That's like having a broken infinite enemy spawning system and instakilling stunlocking bosses, but saying that it's still works because if you set it to extra casual, the enemies become managable.

After all the time I've been gaming getting accustomed to the higher difficulty levels of a game like Mass Effect comes easy to me.

Certain classes can even do it before then.

Once you get Master Immunity, you're pretty much unstoppable.

I wish bioware didn't give up on the mako. It needed work but had potential.

The Mako was AWESOME.

And I'd buy this argument if only ME1 wasn't the best title in the series in terms of plot, narrative and overall story. But it was. Therefore, your argument is invalid.

...Ecstatic.

Why do I find that to be an amusingly paradoxical stance, given his using custom avatars here?
