Nah. Played a lot of mp in my time. From Age of Empires on up. But, ME3 has been the first I've stuck with since release. I just don't find myself getting bored of it.
ME3 MP was my first multiplayer experience ever, how about you?

Oh I used to watch the hell out of Quake I. I couldn't play it for crap (this is really the first shooter type game I've ever been any good at) but I loved to watch people play it.

Heheh... And rocket jumping was something that every player felt obliged to use... Talk about clever use (or abuse) of game mechanics

It was my first and likely my last, thanks to the guys (and gals?) who act like elitists/douches/entitled somehow. You know who you are...

Actually they probably don't.
ME3 MP was the first multiplayer game I invested a whole lot of time into. I playing CS:S for about 200 hours, not nearly enough to become good at it. My aim in shooters used to suck, thanks to ME3 I'm about average or maybe slightly above average now. In other games I play I tend to average about 28% accuracy with weapons I'm comfortable with. Prior to my stint in ME3 I was more around 18% accuracy, so there's no way I would have been able to make the jump to being competitive in PvP if it hadn't been for this game.

Not one one of my firsts, but it is up there with one of my most played, along with Halo and Battlefield.
First memorable MP experience was Halo CE on the PC.

I seem to remember playing Marathon (or maybe a sequel) on LAN back in the mid-90s. I had also played games like Doom, ROTT, and Duke Nukem 3D, but not online. I would later dabble in the Quake series on a friend's computer. I still remember those railgun kills fondly.

Increasing war assets was the reason I started playing MP as well. It felt amazing the first time and it took me a few weeks to return and finish the single player. I wish I had started playing earlier. That and the wedding preparations are the only reasons for my uncompleted weekly challenges
Before ME3MP, I had played Age of Empires 2 (still playing on steam) and F.E.A.R. Combat (the multiplayer of famous horror FPS game)

I used to play Halo but I didn't have a copy for my xbox and I didn't really like playing it anyway, so I'm going to call ME3 my first experience, yup.

I used to play Halo Reach a lot. And I mean A LOT. Think I had more than 1300-1400 hours in that game, which is almost the same as I have in ME3.

I'm not sure if that was my first multiplayer experience but I used to play Worms 4 multiplayer a lot. I was a member of one of the Polish clans. Good old days...

Half-life was my first (didn't like it), before I spent ages on driving games (NFS, GT, TOCA, etc).
This is the first Multiplayer I've played for a period of over a year and still keep coming back because it's so much fun.
I got fed-up with GTA Online after 3 months of grinding (A very poor game), and I've barely touched NFS Rivals which I hade for Christmas ( A very poor imitation of other driving games with a terrible online mode).
I find ME MP to be very relaxing, and after a long day in the office it just seems right. I hope they don't mess with the formula too much in ME4 ( and for gods sake DON'T introduce a free-roam mode - they really suck)

It could be the variety of 65 unique characters, so you're not stuck with the bland human soldier like most other MPs.zorinho20 wrote...

It could be the customization of powers.
It could be the variety of available gears.
It could be psychologically you're still mad about the ending so you figure 'wth I'll get my money's worth'.
It could be the fact there hasn't been a decent game release in a while.
It could be that you can't let go until you finally achieve the elusive 'max manifest'.
It could be all the above, none that I've mentioned or just the simple fact you enjoy the game so it doesn't matter at all.

Not my first multiplayer. It was my favourite though.
Nothing beat the feeling of being the only player left at the end of a round late in a game and needing to clutch it, knowing 3 others were watching your screen and wanting you to pull it off.
Reminiscing almost makes me want to pick this game up for PC & jump back into multiplayer.
What also made it great in my opinion was the players, the community and the developers always listening to the players.
