I once read an article that people who loved the movie "Avatar" becoming sad after the movie was over because they had to go back to their real life.  Now that I've finished playing ME3, I know how they feel.  I found the experience to be incredibly poignant and bittersweet.

After taking my Shepard on such a long journey with such a great cast of characters, I'm feeling a bit hollow.  I was a bit hesitant when I began Mass Effect because it's somewhat different from my usual gaming, but it definitely had me completely in its power by the end.

Bioware should capitalize more on that empty feeling.

Goodbyes are stupid.

I'm just sad that I can't have an AMP suit of my own.

Cheers to that:D

At least we got to control an Atlas. Even made an intact collection of three of 'em (maybe four) in Cerberus HQ, all lined up.

This is true, but the AMP suit had so much melee potential. Imagine using it to pick up and toss a brute, or tear a marauder in half. It even had a nifty giant hunting knife.

It's not a very good idea. I'd prefer science fiction stay a little farther away from 'walkers.'

Why? Explain your science, and I'll explain mine.

They're fragile. A lot of weight up top, not as much down below. Unless the terrain is a serious, serious issue, you would do much better with tank designs than walkers.

That doesn't seem to be a problem for the walkers in Avatar. They're more individual fighting/hauling machines than a transport. They more manueverable and they're a lot more controllable. Terrain is a very serious issue. I take it you don't know how easy it is to stop a tracked vehicle compared to a walking machination. Especially one with more of a vertical press hydraulic system. The Army has tried developing them for years. Most of the problems come from the myriad of coordination and balance issues.

We aren't talking about the fantasy style walkers from Star wars by the way.

Are you talking about a tank like the M1 Abrams?

Not to mention its such a contrite plot that has been done way better in other films and is utterly **** upon by District 9 in every conceivable way.

District 9 was, at best, mediocre.

Avatar is just Dances with Wolves in a sci-fi setting and without Kevin Costner.

Judging by the reviews it got on Rotten Tomatoes(90%) and IMDb(8/10) as well as the highly positive reaction from the public I'd say your opinion is pretty rare. But I'm guessing you think you know better than all of them combined anyway.

Critics have an unfortunate tendency to praise just about anything so long as it's subversive.

Even a mediocre movie outdoes Avatar? Yeah, I can agree with that.

(But nah, District 9's better than that.)

I think it was excellent and an incredible, imaginative idea for sci-fi. Apparently, a lot of other people did too, because its a cult classic now.

I'll keep this in mind when you go on and on about ME3's perfect scores, dear David.
