Very cool and strikingly pretty. My fingers are crossed too. Both that we get to see it and that there are many other scenes as awesome.

Edit:  It does remind me of Mont St.-Michel, which I think is some of the prettiest architecture on the planet.

Do we get to burn it? That would really ****** off the Dalish.
Or, you know, offer it as a reward for elven help in defending human lands we can always take it afterwards. That works too.
Although I'm still partial to flattening it.

I would really like to venture to Arlathan and get more insight into the culture of the ancient elves, especially if the Dalish protagonist is an option. So much history.

It's certainly very interesting but Arlathan presumably would have been located somewhere in the Arlathan forest no? That is pretty far north. Will we be going that far in that direction or to that area of Thedas???

Something about it reminds me of the arena from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but that's probably just me.
But the sunken city looks very cool, and I hope we get to go there in DAI. :wizard:

Tevinter reputedly sunk it underground with blood magic, so it might be in the Arlathan forest. I wonder if it's possible discovery will have any significance among the People.

No need to take it so personally.
Seriously tough, I suspect this might be the metaphorical carrot the Inquisitor will dangle in front of the rebellious elves to get them to cooperate.
And then, in the next game, we will hear how humans took it from them again.

I wonder if its in the Tirashan. Its next door to Orlais, so closeby for the game's setting.

Heh... I thought that breaking the Dalish was a testament to the power of the Andrastian Chantry, yet how did Arlathan fall? Tavinter destroyed it with Blood-Magic.(which probably came from murdered slaves)

Talk about irony and duplicity.

Like I said in the twitter thread, we might not want to get too excited just yet... Arlathan is far to the north and well beyond the "Eastern Ferelden to Western Orlais" they've talked about for the game. It may just be art for a place we might not see in this game.

It is cool though, I hope we do get to see it (at some point).

I posted this in the Mage/Templar solution thread. It's basically my solution to every problem in Thedas.

Orlesians? Abominations? Qunari? Darkspawn?

There's a simple and easy solution to all these

MassivelyEffective0730 wrote...

Genocide of the Elves. That is my solution.

Whatever is wrong with Thedas, you can be sure it was the Elves fault.

Before every battle, we test all our weapons on Elves. If a choice between attacking the Darkspawn horde and the Elves come up, always kill the Elves first. That way, if you don't have any Grey Wardens, at least you can still win the battle. Plus, killing the Elves gives you time for the Grey Wardens to arrive.

And how do you stop the Mage/Templar problem? Kill the Elves.

Have a problem of any kind? Kill the Elves.

Your wife was murdered by bandits on the Pilgrim's Path? It was the Elves fault.

Power mad corrupt foreign noble betray your family and seize your estate? You can be sure an Elf had something to do with it.
