2. ZEVRAN to appear with accurate romance flags being acknowlegded.
3. Shale. We already hear about the Dwarf being a Cadash.

Meh, it shouldn't be ok in any cases, not just because your favorite character would return.Friera wrote...

No Cullen please. He is dull and boring. And no returning characters. There is already too many of them. Let the rest of the cast be fresh and new! (or Fenris, then its okai)
And I prefer to see Cullen than Fenris, since I'm interested in the fomer's character development and the latter was already a companion.
I totally agree. Just being childish
Hope for a fresh new cast. And I never saw whats so cool with Cullen anyway.

As for Cullen, I find his possible character development in DAI, interesting, since he saw the worst side of both templars and mages now. And he was one of the few same people in Kirkwall.

May be stuck with them being in the game .I will dismiss/get rid of Cole asap if he is a forced companion.
I hope Sera is confirmed as a companion.

I have mad respect for him since you had the balls to stand up to his psycho Knight-Commander. Something not even the grand cleric could do. As a pro-mage, I saw Cullen as one of the most sympathetic characters. Since he's slowly recovering of the Broken Circle incident, I see Cullen as a lawful good charcter who merely wants to keep order and people safe. If influenced right, he can resort back to his old self before Uldred. More importanrly, he alot of potential to be a love interest, it was already established that he had a crush of F!Amell. Or simply, he's attractive.

Obviously from my signature, you know I want it to be Cullen, though I'm sure I'll be happy no matter who it is. Unless the returning Asunder character happens to be Rhys and not Cole. I might only be at the start of Asunder, but already I really dislike the guy.

I think that if Bioware was to make Cullen a companion, they would purposefully save him for last, just to make the fandom suffer

Worst case scenario for me would be another old companion/npc being confirmed to return. I like Varric and I'm really excited for Cassandra but I want some new people as well!
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say either the Grey Warden (since he was one of the first companions alongside Cassandra to be hinted at back in a really old panel) or the Elf Mage that's been floating around.

Act I
(If Hawke is a mage,) "I've heard some disturbing rumors about you, Hawke. I hope they're not true"
"Mages cannot be treated like people. They are not like you and me. They are weapons"
Act II
"The Tranquil ritual was created as a mercy so that mages need not be killed out of hand for a threat they might pose. There is an argument to be made for applying it more widely"
I will give him a chance first to see if he has changed. I dare him to use such a line in front of me

Anders
I actually made a thread some time ago asking to make alive Anders a replacement character for a companion that pro templars like possibily cullen. But the option to choose should be given nonetheless as some pro mages might choose cullen over Anders.
What was the point of sparing him really? If he gets a grim fate or anything I will go back and kill him to not see another good character wasted. At he dies smiling in DA2.

Act 1 happened shortly after he was severly psychologically tortured by demons because of the actions of mages.
Also, Cullen never actually expresses support for the Tranquil Solution just like Meredith and Elthina.
Also, they have said the vast majority of companions are dismissable.

I hope they don't announce any more characters. I'd rather not know anything about the characters in the game before I play it.
I'd rather they released detailed mechanical information, instead. Or background lore.
Couldn't agree more.

I think he sorta does in act III saying something in the lines of 'Maybe Alrik had the right idea/Or I can at least understand Alriks idea' (Don't remember the exact sentece). Then again I might remember wrong.... It's been a long time.
Anyway I don't want Cullen. He is instable, supported Meridith's annullment and then turned on Meridit for all the wrong reason.
Also we already have Varrric and Cassandra, new people now please.

I think the devs said there will be a lot of returning characters but not the characters we already explored but simply met. This also happened in DA2 for Isabela and Merril. We met them briefly in DAO but we didn't exactly know who they were. Also not all of these returning characters will be companions but some of them will simply be allies in inquisition.
I am more interested who will be the default healer. I'm quite sure Viviene is a dps mage so the other mage will probably be a spirit healer. This is list of all spirit healers in DA universe that we've met so far and are possibly alive:
Sketch, Ardum, Regalyan D'marcall, Finn, Anders, Rhys.

I am okay with as miniscule roles as Isabela and Merrill, because no matter what people say about Merrill they were not really fully flegded characters and we knew next to nothing about them.
Cassandra straddles the line of what I don't mind but it is okay as she is only one out of nine and also it was always obvioys that she would be a companion in the next game. Varric is not. He was one of the most important companions in da:2 as well as the narrotor.
I hope to god that those returning character stay in npc roles, please let the rest of the companions be relatively fresh. And for the love of the Maker keep the non-game characters out of the companions.

He talks about a warden with a beard by the name of either Grigor or Gregor, who happens to be a heavy drinker, which makes me think of another Oghren. I did not dislike Oghren but I would not want another character with the same personality.
