Who do you play as in that DLC? If I play a Dwarven Noble in the main game after, can I import my character from ToO? Should I?

You play a new character you create with the standard cc. Sadly, they are not importable into DAO, which ticked me off because I created a really cute one. Just downloaded and played myself 2 days ago.
