How will you play the game? How will you run the Inquisition?

I'm determined to really explore and interact in DAI, and really take my time so this^ doesn't happen.
On top of that I usually play the completely "good" route, caring about civilians, spending time to take the best moral route instead of the quickest or most efficient.
SO...How will your first playthrough go, and how will your inquisitor run things?

My first Inquisitor will be a female elven mage named Saphiel [Insert last name]. As far as gameplay goes, she'll likely focus on a balance of damage and crowd control and a sprinkling of support.
I generally play nice; I try to protect the innocent (relatively innocent), help those who need it, humanitarian (but not just for humans, obviously lol), all that kind of stuff.
As far as my Inquisition, I will likely focus on solving problems as best I can...firm but fair--I'm no tyrant. I dunno, it's really hard when we don't know what our options will be.

As a good guy.
I always play as a good guy. Not motivated to be evil.

I always run mages, just because I love how they fit into the lore of the world. Usually do a human for every runthrough, but I am very tempted to actually do a male Qunari first. My Inquisitors will probably favor a reformed circle, but I need more info on the state of things in the game before I decide. And I might run a blood mage, but I have not yet come to a personal decision on whether or not I will follow that path. I might save that for my second playthrough, assuming that they do still have blood mage as a specialization.
As leader of the Inquisition though...I am unsure how much sway we have over the state of politics and the like. But I would always make sure to project strength in my organization, whilst still protecting the common folk who are all caught up in this gigantic mess.

If possible, I'll get the inquisition, chantry, qun, and tevinter destroyed. I'll also be playing a mage, just because warrior and rogue anime combat pisses me off to no end.

Why would you destroy the Inquisition?Rotward wrote...
I spend most of my games making sure that I didn't miss anything. So I certainly don't have your problem.

Everything about the group rubs me wrong. I'm irritated that I have to be a member, but I'll just destroy them from the inside. I'd rather see the world ruled by darkspawn than have any faction associated with the chantry, qun, or tevinter in control. They sound like some rip off the Illuminati, trying to control the world and remake it to suite their ideals.hhh89 wrote...

Honestly, I like the red templars better, and I'm almost as pro mage as you can get.

But it's YOUR organization. You don't have to agree with any of those groups, at all.Rotward wrote...

It's biowares organization, and by the next game, all our decisions will be overwritten so that the inquisition can fill its intended role in DA: Whatever. The way they've written the inquisition prior to this game makes them more irritating to me than any other organization. Thus, I'll do everything within my power to make them suffer. Hopefully the strength of the inquisition, or lack thereof, will transfer over.eluvianix wrote...

1)The Inquisition in DAI is a new organization, and we don't know yet how it's formed, or anything else other than the goal to stop the Veil tears, but it seems they'll be indipendant from the Chantry, and at the start of the game (when we have the least control on it) the two would not be in good relationship;Rotward wrote...

2)The first Inquisition in Thedas is different from what was stated in the DA2 codex. WoT stated that it was formed with the intent of restore order in Thedas, which was engulfed in chaos. They judged people for their crimes, regardless if they were mages or not.

1) Fair enough, I've been trying to limit my information to what's necessary in deciding whether I'm going to buy this game. Bioware's not good at keeping important things secret, I'd like to have surprises if I do buy the game. You'd think they could come up with a name that isn't charged negatively in game and in real life.hhh89 wrote...

2) Order and chaos do not equate good and evil. Imposing one's own laws, and ideal of "order," is just a fancy way of saying they took control. It's not their right or business.

Without context for the events in Inquisition, I can't really comment on how I'll run it. I value reason above all else and reason is based on evidence and context.
It's easier to say how I won't play Inquisition. I won't play as a sociopath or psychopath. At least not as anything other than a curiosity playthrough.

Contant wise, as usual, i intend to do everything.
Main story in Bioware is often the smallest part of the game, and i hate playng RPGs that end in 12 ou 15 hours.
Also, i like to have maxed characters and i don't mind hunting XP

They didn't exactly took control of anything (though we don't know that much, but I think we'll do in DAI). They didn't form a state or anything. I'm not saying that they were saints (or even good), or that they weren't ruthless (they probably were, since their fame as ruthless mage-hunter, even if false, should've came from something) but they tried to fix a situation when there was nobody that would do it. Though we'll probably know more in the next game, since I'm sure that we'll find more about the old Inquisition.
