Chaotic evil is best way to describe my inquisitor (not stupid evil) freedom is very important but don't care about freedom or life of others unless they are useful no moral codex no limits to get what i want and survive.

The first thing I'll do is kill the elves.

That solves every problem.

Darkspawn blight? Kill an elf.

Mage uprising? It was an elf's fault.

Qunari invasion? You can be sure there was an elf behind it.

Templar secession? It was an elf.

Desire demon seduce your husband? There was an elf woman who led him on.

I say gut the filthy knife-ears. My army will go on a genocide of the elves, raping and pillaging their women and villages, and using the guts of their children to polish our swords.

As for my Inquisitor, I'm not sure. My Warden was a serious "ends-justify-the-means" kind of guy, Hawke was a sarcastic do-gooder. Perhaps a savvy, cunning Qunari who excels at politics. Whether she's Tal'Vasoth or not, I do intend to completely obliterate the Chantry. Elves, the Mage-Templar situation, the Wardens...all that's up in the air, though I personally lean more towards the mages (don't know how she'd feel though).

I'll run it this way.

... because no one expects the Inquisition.

... sorry, those two jokes are going to be making the rounds for a long time, I think.

I will play my Inquisitor (not yet decided on race, or class) as good, but with a caveat. Any option, choice, decision etc. that will gain me fantasy creatures as allies I am going for it, even if it is the evil choice.

Recruit golems, or save children from a burning orphanage? Golems.

Another choice between Dalish and werewolves? Werewolves.

Grey Warden war party or one Awakened Darkspawn? Darkspawn.

Hopefully, not every decision in the game will be extreme, and that I can get both factions, but if push comes to shove, I am going with the fantasy creatures. I want my army to be as diverse and off the wall as possible.

I try to play as a nice guy character. Evil isn't much fun for me.

But in the end, I suppose it will depend on what playstyles are allowed in the game and which lead to "SO BE IT!!!"

This time around I'm in charge of an army, not some companions. I guess I be an all out '' The end justifes the means'' guy.

I always play good and try to help as many people as I can- so options to save one place over another is going to challenge me because I will try to save both when possible even if extremely difficult. So I will probably level up a lot and explore before diving into major events so hopefully I will be over leveled for it to make it easier. Also I will play either fem elf rogue or fem human rogue for first playthrough.

Will propably be playing as a mage, though I've not yet settled on which race I'll be playing.

I'm going to try and play my first walkthrough as a logical and calculating character, who tries to leave emotions out of his decision-making process. Doesn't necessarily mean that he's evil, yet he doesn't shy away to be a tyrannt when he needs to be one, in order to get the most out of solving the particular dilemma he currently finds himself in.

So if he sees himself (and the Inquisition) going to get the most out of rescuing a group of innocent people or slaves or defend elves against humans, then he'll do it without hesitation. If letting an entire city and all its denizens burn to the ground will bring him the most, then he'll do that, too.

I tend to play loveable rouge types or idealists who think using the power of friendship will solve all problems  :wizard:. Rarely do I play “evil” characters, I think DAO and Skyrim are the only times I have but if Inquisition allows many choices and many different ways to play then I will make an exception again. One reason why I didn’t really enjoy playing a completely renegade Shepard or an aggressive Hawke was because they were more “thuggish” than sinister .  I want to be able to play a cold and calculating Inquisitor, I want to be sneaky , I want to play a character that uses cunning to get things done. In DAO I could play a smart and evil character so I’d like to be able to do so again.

I can't really say until I've reached the character creator.

I intend to play as a Qunari, but it is hard to say why a Tal-vashoth would have an interest in leading a pre-existing Chantry organisation. I'll see when I get the options.

A fairly religious Elven Warrior. He seeks to protect the innocent and smite the evil.

It should have less to do with the Chantry and more to do with closing veil tears. Tal Vashoth are just as threatened by demons pouring out of portals as everyone else is.

:@Zathce I get that Qunari are threatened too, just as Sten says the Qunari can be threatened by the darkspawn. It's just a bit of twist that a Qunari who are viewed as among the most strange and most intimidating of most races would be leading and influencing an important organisation among the human lands. Humans are more use to Dwarves and Elves but not Qunari, or Tal-vashoth.

Having a Qunari leader might be a bit of a Tabula Rasa. But it will be interesting.

Well I try to do all side quests if I can. I hate not accepting quests, unless it causes my character to do something "evil" (I skip it if it does). I always play the good character, I don't really enjoy playing evil characters.

The Qunari PC, from what Bioware said, will have most problem when dealing with people in the earlier part of the game, since qunari aren't that trusted in human lands. When the Inquisition will become stronger and renowned, people will have different opinion of him/her, the 'Inquisitor' title will overcome the race. The same goes (to a less extent) for an elven Inquisitor.

Interesting question OP. I generally start as a generally good guy, diplomatic and all that but I think this time, if the game permits, I'm gonna try and make the Inquisition an overwhelming force from the get-go. In that we're small (at the start, anyway) but relentless.
I also plan to be a bit more forceful than what I am the first time around. I'll be good, but very harsh at times. And the same will apply to my Inquisition.
I'd like to think I'll be the military police of Thedas :police:

Eh, Massively is like that.

Huh, I thought Merrill's view was that Demons and Spirits can be beneficial to achieving your goals but they are dangerous and should be treated with caution?
