The first thing I'll do is kill the elves.
That solves every problem.
Darkspawn blight? Kill an elf.
Mage uprising? It was an elf's fault.
Qunari invasion? You can be sure there was an elf behind it.
Templar secession? It was an elf.
Desire demon seduce your husband? There was an elf woman who led him on.
I say gut the filthy knife-ears. My army will go on a genocide of the elves, raping and pillaging their women and villages, and using the guts of their children to polish our swords.
...Dark.
As for my Inquisitor, I'm not sure. My Warden was a serious "ends-justify-the-means" kind of guy, Hawke was a sarcastic do-gooder. Perhaps a savvy, cunning Qunari who excels at politics. Whether she's Tal'Vasoth or not, I do intend to completely obliterate the Chantry. Elves, the Mage-Templar situation, the Wardens...all that's up in the air, though I personally lean more towards the mages (don't know how she'd feel though).

... because no one expects the Inquisition.
... sorry, those two jokes are going to be making the rounds for a long time, I think.

Recruit golems, or save children from a burning orphanage? Golems.
Another choice between Dalish and werewolves? Werewolves.
Grey Warden war party or one Awakened Darkspawn? Darkspawn.
Hopefully, not every decision in the game will be extreme, and that I can get both factions, but if push comes to shove, I am going with the fantasy creatures. I want my army to be as diverse and off the wall as possible.

But in the end, I suppose it will depend on what playstyles are allowed in the game and which lead to "SO BE IT!!!"

I'm going to try and play my first walkthrough as a logical and calculating character, who tries to leave emotions out of his decision-making process. Doesn't necessarily mean that he's evil, yet he doesn't shy away to be a tyrannt when he needs to be one, in order to get the most out of solving the particular dilemma he currently finds himself in.
So if he sees himself (and the Inquisition) going to get the most out of rescuing a group of innocent people or slaves or defend elves against humans, then he'll do it without hesitation. If letting an entire city and all its denizens burn to the ground will bring him the most, then he'll do that, too.

I intend to play as a Qunari, but it is hard to say why a Tal-vashoth would have an interest in leading a pre-existing Chantry organisation. I'll see when I get the options.
It should have less to do with the Chantry and more to do with closing veil tears. Tal Vashoth are just as threatened by demons pouring out of portals as everyone else is.

I also plan to be a bit more forceful than what I am the first time around. I'll be good, but very harsh at times. And the same will apply to my Inquisition.
I'd like to think I'll be the military police of Thedas

Eh, Massively is like that.
At first it was shocking, now it's just cute.

Huh, I thought Merrill's view was that Demons and Spirits can be beneficial to achieving your goals but they are dangerous and should be treated with caution?
