I've thought about this a little bit, and I don't really care if other people want to do it there are dozens of ways to break the game this doesn't change that much.

I don't think I would add a run to the speedrun records thread if someone was using a glitched build, even though I did record a couple with hacked objectives(put an asterisk), and that is certainly much more of an advantage time wise.

Just no reporting times or challenging players whilst using 6/6/6/6/6 and we won't think much less of you.

Why is it always a question of "if" instead of "why"? I mean come on what is the point? You make the game EVEN easier? And manage to completely erase what little variety it has remaining? I'm failing to see the up-side.

Yeah Heldarion's GI run. He was very open about how he modified it, and it was the same kind of run that would happen if rng was nice. I figured I would include it for any other PC player that wanted to compete, I understand how after 2 years nobody's wants to waste time with rng. As long as people are up front about it I don't care that much.

Edit: If you were thinking I hacked my objectives I didn't. I have no idea if it is even a remote possibility on Xbox.

I see it as bioware couldn't be bothered to fix it, so I'm not bothered if people do it. I have friends that I play with on a regular basis who utilize 6/6/6/6/6 builds. And for the record I don't have any glitched characters.

Tokenusername wrote...

It's a bannable offense.

i.e. Bioware devs were too lazy and or didn't care enough to fix it.

After getting 4 devices on 13 straight Glacier solos I would do that in a heartbeat.

I assume this is PC hacking?

Nope.

Even though there are only a few classes that actually benefit from it, it's for scrubs.

What do you mean "only a few classes benefit from this"?

Don't do it myself and I also don't care about if other players use the glitch.

If I play with a Missile Glitcher I get really pissed off because that just takes away all the fun with playing this game. A 6/6/6/6/6 build is not going to take away that fun.

I think this is pretty much where I am with it.

It's hardly game breaking, but I can't help but silently judge players who feel the need to do it somewhat hypocritically.

I personally don't like the idea, I like to play the game as it was meant to be played up to a point.

I used to be against it but then I realized I play for fun and not for what other people think. I find most kits a lot more fun with a 6/6/6/6/6 build, it opens up more options. I probably gimp myself on platinum more than most people anyways using stupid stuff like the phaeston, so it's not like I need the glitch to do well.

The last rank of the passive tree is mostly irrelevant, and a few extra points in fitness don't matter much, The only kits that really benefit from this glitch are the ones where your preferred build skips a power completely (Like the Geth Trooper, for example)

I assumed he was is just trolling.
...

Personally I'd been tempted to try it on the cabal because all her 84 point builds are imperfect (imo).  Never did it though -- because it's WRONG and I don't want to be Linked to that kind of shenanigans.  Heh.

Who cares who uses it? Its a co-op game that's almost two years old, if it makes it more fun for someone, let them

There's some truth here maybe. I would like to do it, but more than thinking what others might think of this, I'm struggling with how I would think of myself then. I don't like to play with unintended advantages, but I know that ALL of my fav kits would bennefit from this.

My thought on the subject is - if it became as cassual as removing the cobra from your back, and everybody did it, I surely wouldn't hasitate. I figure since my Fury runs great with just 3 points of fitness, and I really use that melee often, I would love to try it with maxed melee trees in fitness. And then I'm thinking what would work better for the last 6 remaining points..weapon damage or lighter weapons...

Anyway if 6/6/6/6/6 builds ever become a trend, I'll be folowing. But until then, my conscience is clear:innocent:
