It is pointless.

It is quite the opposite.  Bad jokes aside, I find it more tempting with a option to raise skills to 9 but still be limeted to the 84 point you have (plus 12 maybe) and raise the difficulty of the game.

I'm not sure if I would like 105 pts, or more branches in the power trees.

For a kit that you have taken 66653 it makes only a small difference (mainly what you use as armor gear). Kit where you have dropped a "useless" power, well you get to have that "useless" power \\o/
As long as you're not missile glitching I don't really care.

It's just a game feature, nothing wrong with it. There's no such thing as cheating when it comes to video games. Mass Effect is just another game.

See the "Girl plays games" website for more info. I'd say it makes a lot of difference in case of volus characters (which can all be glitched). They all have 3 passive skills which are really necessary (I count shield boost as passive) and this leaves little room for building them. For example, it is a bit hard to justify putting 6 levels into decoy in case of volus mercenary, but you can have it with glitching with no problem. With other characters the difference is minimal because I find it almost impossible to make coherent 6/6/6/6/6 builds. Typically one of the sills remains unused or sees a minimal amount of use, for which 3-4 levels would suffice. After experimenting with 6/6/6/6/6 cabal vanguard I realized that I use her biotic charge only for moving about and grenades only occasionally so I reverted to 4/4/6/6/6 and it works perfectly.

I have 6 levels in decoy and 0 in fitness. Now I could have that tasty 6 levels in fitness: all the 98 health and 325 shields....

I don't know how to do it nor do I need to glitch to play well. I don't care if people cheat at this game. However I do not cheat or play with cheaters. I want to max my manifest knowing I earned it the hard way.

If bioware doesn't care anymore then I don't they could have fixed it, but they didn't. So run what you want to and have fun make credits buy those psp's the end is near. It's so easy, you can even do it with just RP packs, have you ever seen a lvl 8 collector with all swarms,Ds,and Dc it happens, they could have fixed it but its still here just like Mging that's really boring though, much rather play with someone running all 6 builds

Oh man, :crying:, 50% reduction from shield boost multiplies in effect both your health and shields by a factor of 2. all the 98 health and 325 shields....  is in fact worth 846 points in total. Fail. If you want to play without fitness, fine. But saying that fitness on a volus is worthless is stupidity of the day.

I am assuming that this is a serious question and not a troll attempt, so please help yourself to my answers below.

Is it ok to do it? No
Is it considered cheating or clever use of game mechanics? Bannable Offense = Cheating, obviously.
Would you guys mind if you knew someone had those builds?  Do whatever you want in your private games, I am neither willing nor entitled to tell you what to do. But yes, I do mind.
Would you want to play with players with those glitched builds? No. Like Missile Glitching (which I have never seen myself), I would consider it to be excellent etiquette if all such things were confined to private games.

Back when they did the DLC and this glitch was discovered it used to bug me when random's would use it, the kit I would see it often on is the Geth trooper and I think it that kit's case it made a big difference, personally have never tried it, never will.

Moving forward to today, I do not get to play that much, most BSN friends have moved on so when it comes to pugs, I don't really care, the only cheat that if I see I will leave is the missle glitch, makes the game pointless.

There are so many gltiches in this game that cripple the characters and prevent them from playing as advertised. Wide shockwave ? does not work. Headshot bonus from tactical scan? People say it does not work. Biotic charge on cabal vanguard? Yesterday I played with cabal against gold collectors on London and was unable to use it, it was so glitched (the screen flickered after each jump while I was being thrown backwards and forwards). No big deal when a pretorian is upon you, right? It's all straight and fair gaming. The list could probably be much longer. I dont care. Now we have a glitch that minimally improves your chances (while requiring a lot of playing to obtain) and all of a sudden it's a bannable offence, cheating etc. etc. Some people just should go out and get some life.

Deliberate tampering with game's files in atempt to give the player unfairly advantage IS cheating and can be bannable offence, and people who do this deserve their punishment.

Exploiting something that devs screwed up; 5x6 builds, climbing Hydra's peak, even missile glitching, should not be bannable offences.

I had extra 21 pts on my TGI for two weeks before I saw it because I don't TGI that often. I could have
been banned and wouldn't even know why. BW should be ashamed for banning people for their own mistakes.

Of the various methods of cheating out there I find this one the least offensive. It doesn't ruin my fun. But I'm not going to do it and I'd rather not play with people who do it (assuming I'd even find out).

I don't care honestly. It's only effective on a few builds on console as far as making them more effective. Even on those builds that it is effective on, it's not nearly as good as incendiary cheese which is a glitch as well.

I think honestly some BSNers just need something to complain about each week and excuses for sucking at this game. Even the scrubs seek to be elitests. It's ok to be a scrub, it's only a game; play as you like and have fun.
