Is there any limit for placed effects an area should have? I know lights can cause some issues, but I also have some heavy areas with vfx and I would like to know before it's too late :).

I haven't run into a fixed limit, but there are performance issues with multiple overlapping vfx such as spells. It probably depends primarily on your graphics card and system type. Somebody with an older system may have problems with vfx that run fine on your box.

No fixed limit that I'm aware of. There can be performance issues as rjshae says. You could even get slowdown from a single vfx if you overdo things, the vfx editor won't stop you (http://kamalpoe.blog...ossoms-and.html). You can always test things ingame. Here is a heavy blizzard I made with a combination with white fog and a custom blizzard vfx:

So far the toolset lags a bit in an area where I have many dirt shadows. But in game there is no problem, and my PC is not like the most modern in the world. The only case where I get lag in game is in big areas that use the City Hak, but I think this is a general issue with this package.
In any case, I will try to go easy on some effects, but with todays PCs it shouldn't cause so much problem. Thanks.
