TBH clones don't contradict canon, since most medical transplants are done via cloned body parts, at least for humans it seems if the ambient dialogue is to be believed. And we already dealt with cloning before in the series, in both mass effect 1 and 2, granted they were krogans and not humans.

/implying that the clone being a clone is what is wrong with it.

Dreamgazer, is Vasir apprealing to you because of her 'Don't you dare judge me!' speech? I have to say I really didn't like it. An 'argument' as I've said, that I would really expect to hear from the more...12 year old girl on Facebook crowd?

I mean, I would think it would be obvious "Don't judge me!" is a refuge for the weak...but then against it's surprisingly popular...so...who knows?

Its unfortunate that we couldn't convince Vasir to join Shepard in defeating the Shadow Broker. She would make a good broker and would've been a better squadmate in ME3 instead of T'soni

Chip on your shoulder, Davey? Did Vasir's words hit a little too close to the bone?

Let's use a little reason for once, Mammoth. A little logic.

If I was fond of that phrase, do think I would be pleased or upset to see a powerful character use it? A spectre? Please or upset to see that a powerful character is in agreement with me?

I care less about the phrase/speech itself than the intentions and motivation driving Vasir.

Why are you avoiding the question, David? Dream answered, now it's your turn. Are you pleased or upset? Looks like you're the latter to me.

I'm more offended than I should be that you are telling me to be logical 'for once'.

No Davey. that's not how it works. We yell at you to be logical, not the other way around.

First I'd ask why you're fixated on that one phrase rather than the larger point before I even attempted to answer that asinine question.

Another thing I liked about it is that it brought Shepard back down to earth a little. The moment when the clone asks what makes Shepard so special and they look at their teammates. I think ME had a problem with making Shepard a little too special for my tastes.

I felt that way about a few teammates, but nobody in my party in ME3, except for Javik really.

Oh it's stupid, don't get me wrong. But I've seen so many people say that a shepard clone exsisting contradicts the canon and lore of the series.

Something stupid =/= violates the lore.

If that was the case, ewoks would have broken the lore of star wars decades ago.

Speech is full of information.

There are certain phrases, certain patterns of speech that strong and complete people would just never use. They're very indicative. So yes, someone saying "Don't judge me" or some variation thereof should be a red light.

Thankfully, Mass Effect has done an excellent job of having it's heroes avoid them. A few squadmates have used them, although I'm confident it was intentional by the writers. Ashley, Miranda, and Javik off the top of my head.

Which celebrity news magazine column did you read that out of Davey? Why are you ignoring all the similarl things Shepard says at numerous points throughout the trilogy? Wouldn't this assertion mean Shepard is also a weak person?

Hmm. I don't recall Shepard ever saying anything remotely close to "Don't judge me!"

That's a first. David, you're just being spiteful that other people don't like Liara now.

That tends to happen with selective obliviousness.

"We fight or we die!" and "This isn't about strategy or tactics" spring to mind, as well as dozens of interrupts, both paragon and renegade, scattered throughout the second two games.

Really? There are 'dozens' of interrupts throughout the series that are indicative of this?

I quite like liara (and as ardent femshep player she's about the best romance I'm gonna get). I don't get the hate for her. But then I don't hate any of the characters. Some I dislike (like zaeed and kasumi, I find them very one dimensional and suffer as dlc characters) but that's about it.

The 'hate' for Liara on the BSN basically boils down to her being a mandatory squadmate with a good amount of content. Is it a coincidence that Liara, James, and EDI get the most complaints and are the three mandatory squadmates? It isn't. Nor is it a coincidence that Miranda becomes a lot more popular once she's no longer on the ship.
