So I guess all of those mandatory squad mates in ME2 never happened.

Stop boiling things down, David.

Is that quote in your signature from Dragon Age?

You would like it David. You could have a whole party of firm-breasted, attractive looking, and plastic tool followers that you could even tell how to think. It's the game made for people like you.

I quite like liara (and as ardent femshep player she's about the best romance I'm gonna get). I don't get the hate for her. But then I don't hate any of the characters. Some I dislike (like zaeed and kasumi, I find them very one dimensional and suffer as dlc characters) but that's about it.

They can hate Liara all they want on the BSN.

At the end of the day Liara fans won where it mattered.

"Why shoot something once, when you can shoot it 46 more times?"

Now that's quality writing.

Lol, this went on a crazy tangent. I'm not sure what half of the comments mean, but I liked hearing what others enjoyed about the DLC. It introduced me to small moments I missed on my playthrough (I can't believe I didn't spot Grunt in the shower!). The silliness of the plot was much needed for me. Sometimes I felt like ME3 was too intense/emotional, when all I wanted was a bit of fun roleplaying. So The Citadel became a great opportunity for fans to reconnect with their favourite characters without much commitment. ^_^

If I have to take two non-squadmates against my will on the party, why not Kelly, Gabby, and Ken?

Why do people have to "win" anything? Is there a competition going on? What does anyone get out of this?

This is a weird q: does anyone know anything about the art on the walls in the apartment?

Or the art at other points throughout the game? Dr Bryson's lab for example

Speech is full of information.

There are certain phrases, certain patterns of speech that strong and complete people would just never use. They're very indicative. So yes, someone saying "Don't judge me" or some variation thereof should be a red light.

Thankfully, Mass Effect has done an excellent job of having it's heroes avoid them. A few squadmates have used them, although I'm confident it was intentional by the writers. Ashley, Miranda, and Javik off the top of my head.

Wait, when have any of these 3 said "don't judge me", or a variation thereof?

<----- This was the best moment.

Party Vorcha just wants to party.

Thanks for reminding me. I still bust out laughing when I think of it (then Mrs. Hall asks me what's so funny, and I'm at a loss for words - she's not a gamer). I love the whole DLC, but Party Vorcha and "who's a space cowboy?  ..... MEeeeeeee" were the best. Well, maybe Drunk Liara's highly robotic dancing.

Executing the clone and Brooks. Damn she was annoying.

Otherwise the plot was pretty silly and out of place in the whole context of the game and even the trilogy. I would not mind the less serious tone, if it wasn't for all the cringe-worthy one liners, some of the cheap action flick moments and the overdose of inside jokes and obvious fan service.

I played it yesterday, and I got to say that playing it the totally renegade way makes it somewhat better. Also I did it without Tali. It's better without her too.

Anyway it's not that bad but to me there's still a bit too much silliness in there, and despite it's great execution and production values it's one of my least favourit ME dlc-s.

I thought the cloning thing was a bit far fetched but honestly, it's a game, not real life and should be enjoyed as it is. You don't enjoy it, don't play it.

Agreed. I'ts just not my thing, that's it. But since I bought it, I try to enjoy as much as I can.

Oh, the space magic in Mass Effect bugged me.  But by Citadel, I had been exposed to so much of it, that a cloned Shep hardly raised an eyebrow at this point.

Seriously, after "organic energy" Cloneshep could have been a human/yahg hybrid that looked like a qunari and I wouldn't have blinked.

I always liked Femshep's line, "I love you Grunt."
