You can't go 3 posts without calling the chantry "A bunch of idiot cultists" and continually denounce religion as "for idiots."   I'm an athiest and you are just a walking stereotype of us.

I call them what i see them as and was asking House to give me a few reasons as to what real logical reason there is to kill Anders.

I gave you a logical reason, and you responded with well, other people do it! So yeah, you're kinda done here.

Andraste most likely did the same thing to Tevinter yet no one is going on about her and what things she probably did that caused "innocent' people to die.

Maybe because this is a conversation about Anders and not Andraste?

That and because 101 is clearly an extremist player who hates the Chantry, and just assumes that there are others like him/her.

I swear, I'm one of the few people on this site who isn't an extremist. As far as I'm concerned, all companions are excellent, DA2 was excellent, even if it sucked in comparison to Origins, and I realise the difference between mages and templars and good and evil.

But yeah, it would be nice if he wasn't in DAI. I've had my Anders fill.

If you don't kill him in DA2 he will most likely show up in DAI and will probably be in a side quest or something.

Because just like your sig, they embrace the crazy.

At least our brand of crazy is the good kind. And productive too. :D

The Cullen Craze is never productive. Then again, there aren't many threads in either this forum, or the DA2 that ARE productive.

I like his character(especially compared to Awakening), though I see him more as a tragic character than a heroic one.

It seems that Anders won't be appearing. But he'll probably get a codex about what he did.

Wait.

When has "One of the main reasons many people love Bioware games is the fact that choices matter" that ever been a main appeal in their past and future games? Didn't that trend just start with the whole "consequences across a trilogy" mindset they had going with Mass Effect?

Me neither. The only people who see him as heroic are the people who are susceptible to (pro-mage) extremism. I have no opinion on describing his character though.

Even if that were the case...Andraste is already dead, so there's nothing they can do about it.

Because it's fun.

See? At least I back up my claims about Anders with arguable points that cannot be outright denied and can be argued further. There are much more of fanatic type out there, mostly atheists irl. I reckon Morinth from ME series had such fanatic fans as well.

Anyway I'm not being cocky or anything, and apologize for my negative attitude. I just get furious when people think their opinion/point of view is fact. Even if its an opinion of majority (which in this case it wasn't) it can't be a fact its would still be an opinion.

DA2 was rushed and in order to start the war a character had to be condemned and take the fall for it. David Gaider gave up writing Anders and Jennifer Helper took the lead to create a tragic patch for Anders. Even his short story written by Jennifer Helper is contradicting. If anything in the short story is true then Anders should be able to obliterate all Templars in Kirkwall as turned a dozen of templars along with full patrol of grey wardens to blood and bone in a single blast of a spell and when rolan stabbed him with sword nothing happened.

Ironically Anders was both a victim character of a rushed game and was an actual martyr/victim is the game more ironacally he has an ability named martyr in the game

I always thought people loved Bioware games because the companions tend to *usually* be well thought out and can tell a good story.  I don't remember anyone lauding about how much they liked Bioware because their choices mattered.

He could be helping mages escape from red templars or he could be in Tevinter.

Like I already said. He's a powerful and unstable man who has no qualms with killing multiple innocent people and has a history of escaping captivity, so you can't simply jail him.

An extreme post, this one is. The only reason to jail or kill him is if you believe he's a danger. Hawke only knew about the killing of multiple innocent people part. S/he has NO knowledge about his history of escaping captivity. He wasn't a captive in the Wardens. So anyone who would kill him for those reasons aren't playing from a roleplay perspective.

The Cullen Craze says hello, :kissing:. Love you, too. :wizard:

But let's keep this abt Anders, shall we? Although, this has been a thoroughly entertaining thread.

I think Justice/Vebgeance will make an appearance, and even worse if you kill Anders. I think this because of sum response Gaider gave a very long time ago.

He said ofc, that if you kill Anders he stays dead, but Justice is another matter. But what really got me was at some time Gaider said abt killing Anders, "But I wouldn't suggest it, tho." There was a very distinct implied "Muahaha" to it. Which leads me to believe that Justice might be pissed abt the whole murder knife thing. Oh, well.

I'm abt 50/50 on killing Anders. Half my PT's I romanced and let him go. A couple I didn't romance him and let him go. Then I romanced and killed him. Yes, I did. It was very dramatic. Then I didn't romance him and killed him.

+1

Anders is one of the best examples of tragic characters I've seen in a while.

That's the vibe I got, well - more towards the characters they're able to develop, plus their choices in their recent games never mattered to a scale they every advertised - lol.
