I am not sure if this has been answered before, I'm pretty sure it isn't a spoiler that after you beat ME1, you can't save. So, when you are importing to ME2, will you use the last autosave which is technically before you beat the game?

No. It makes a special save (the one you use to make new game +'s in ME1) and uses that save.

You can check if a save can be imported by checking the New Game + list. All saves in that list can be imported.

Are there more resources transfered to ME2 if I beat ME1 as a lvl 60, rather than the standard lvl 55 or so (from 1 complete ME1 run).

No, the only thing that will xfer is your decisions and who lived and died (maybe).
