Apologies for the long topic title, but didn't want to raise anyone's hopes too high if they don't qualify for the offer. :P

Anyways, for those who don't know, Amazon (US site only I believe) is currently running a 2013 Editor's Choice Digital Games sale on their site, discounting some PC DD games. What's interesting about the deal is anyone who bought a digital game off Amazon over the last month or so likely received an email about a bonus $5 credit that can be applied towards any of these games are part of the promotion. You may have received multiple coupons depending how many games you bought, however, you are not allowed to stack multiple coupons for a single game/order.

Anyways, it just so happens that they're currently running a promo for ME2 + 2,480 Bioware points for $30 till 1/12/14. With the coupon, the price goes down to $25, so you are essentially getting $31 worth of Bioware points for $25 (and an extra copy of ME2 to boot). Now, I'm not going to admit this is the most amazing of amazing deals, but considering we never get sales or deals on Mass Effect DLC, this is probably as good as it gets.

Note: While the deal page assigns the points as being for specific ME2 DLC's, it was confirmed these are general use Bioware points that can be used to purchase anything requiring Bioware points.

TL;DR: $31 worth of Bioware Points for $25 if you received a $5 off credit from Amazon for buying a PC DD from them over the holidays. Deal expires on 1/12/14. May be only chance to get Bioware Points on sale.

If you bought a game off of Amazon in December and you want Mass Effect DLC now's your chance!

When I was told there was going to be a discount on BioWare points I was not expecting this, but I guess it's all we have, right? -___-

Ah, well. Guess all I can do is buy the DLC Collection, add the 2480 points to my existing 80, spend another $14 to buy 1120 points, and buy /everything/ that's left minus the two Genesis... things and one 160 BioWare point pack. Touch deciding which... At least I can finally play Leviathan, Citadel, and Omega.

This is nice, but what about those who didn't buy anything off Amazon? This would mean that we basically get the Bioware Points for the same price we would off the Origin Store, plus a copy of ME2 which we already have:pinched:

How difficult is it to do the exact same thing (minus copy of ME2) over Origin? EA, you disappoint:(

I'm just going to repeat what I normally say about things like this.  Contact EA and request that they remove the Bioware points system for regular currency values, many other digital clients have phased out points systems and have benefited from the move.

Just need to keep hammering this message home.
