So i've been wanting to do ley's plays for some time now.  But it slows down the frame rate to the single digits even on decade old games(specificaly Jedi Knights 3) . It happened on all the programs i tried exept one and that one has other problems.

Also note thatvmy computer didn't exihibit any performance problems in other tasks.

 My specs:
OS: windows 7 home premium
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650
RAM: 8GB

Any help would be much apreciated:-)

Hmmm. I used to capture on my old laptop on most of the few games it could run with little difficulty, and its specs were way behind yours (pentium B960, 4GB RAM, Integrated graphics), so I doubt that's the problem.

What programs have you been using to capture, out of interest?

Try the Nvidia Shadowplay program that bundles with the driver suite (GeForce Experience?)

This. With your graphics card you should have access to Shadowplay. Wish I did as well.
