Please Bioware, take your time and do some proper playtesting and bug fixing. I really don't want another repeat of BF4's launch.

DA:I might have an amazing storyline or awesome enviroments but that will be in vain if the game is riddled with bugs and basically unplayable.

And DA:I cannot afford to flop. Bioware might survive but I doubt EA will support the DA franchise after two games with less than spectacular sales and major backlash from the majority of gamers. And since EA gave DAI a time extension and Frostbite 3 they must be expecting the game to sell a lot of copies.

So yeah, please bugfix as much as possible and don't rush out this game to compete with another certain game like BF4 did.

Battlefield 4 would have seen the benefits of a longer development cycle, that's for certain. I have a feeling it was intended to be EA's big holiday release, and the development team were pushed to reach that deadline. The game suffered from some pretty gamebreaking bugs as a result.

Dragon Age: Inquisition doesn't have that problem. It will no doubt launch with a few bugs, but it's extra year in development is going to be nothing but beneficial. It will take some doing for it to be anywhere near as buggy as Battlefield 4.

They already are making sure that it has no bugs and the reason why BF4 had so many supposed bugs is because they rushed it out the door to beat CoD: Ghosts it has very little to do with Frostbite 3.

And I don't know what you guys are going on about BF4 was perfect I had no lag, server problems or any glitches at all, it's perfect absolutely perfect it haven't had any problems on my PS4 and my PS3 and on my Xbox one.

The only similairity between the two games is the engine. I wouldn't be worried, at all

BF4 was a NEW game on a NEW engine, for a NEW gen of consoles that clearly had 2 years of development.
I saw that storm coming from a mile away.

Anyway, DAI will have bugs, but I doubt will be as messy as BF4: After all, this game is not being rushed to gain quick bucks.

It wasn't a new engine, it's basically an upgraded Frosbite 2 engine. And besides all platforms suffered from bugs not just the PS4 and XBox One.

With the game being more open-world, it's a virtual impossibility to remove every potential bug - but they're going to do their best. I'll take a bit from Allan S. via a previous similar thread

"If we find a bug in Frostbite code, we can either fix it and push it back (which is done sometimes), or we notify the Frostbite team of the issue and let them fix it. What we do depends on our bandwidth as well as the severity/urgency of the bug. Sometimes a fix is already in place and we just need to integrate it (or preport it, if it's super urgent)."

So yeah, they're on it. I highly doubt it'd be to the same bug-iness as a Fallout game.

So yeah, please bugfix as much as possible and don't rush out this game to compete with another certain game like BF4 did.

I'd suspect one of Dragon Age ]['s Major complaints of a rushed development cycle was a lesson learned, which is why it's releasing over 3 years after the previous game.

A nice clean game is my number one wish for DA:I. I'm glad Varric is back, and I want that hat, but if the game is super buggy I will pull all my hair out. And nobody wants that.

Honestly though, I'm married to a programmer. I know that no product goes out completely bug free. I expect that with the amount of time they have left and where they seem to be at in development, the developers will get 99.9% of the buggies. And if they need someone to beta test it, I have a PS3 and love filing bugs! :P

It happens when you try to cover too much ground with little time: 5 different platforms, from which 2 of them are new ground and the other 2 have lower tech and limit the first 2.
And adding a new version of the engine or whatever-marketing-tries-to-sell brings more trouble to the situation.

DAI is pretty much on the same position, but it has a longer development time. That's why I expect bugs, a nice amount of them, but I don't think we will se stuff at the same level of BF4.

In general it seems like Bioware games don't suffer from many bugs - compared to, say, Bethesda games. That this game is on a new engine (for Bioware) and has more of a big, open world style might mean more problems. They only really bother me when they make the game very hard to play (like Fall out: New Vegas on release).

All games have bugs, lots of them, even BioWare games. What matters most (to most gamers) is whether they encounter those bugs, and how badly they affect the game. Game developers will do their darnedest to ensure the super-obvious game-breaking bugs are fixed, but much like battle plans, they are unable to account for every possible combination of hardware, configuration, software conflict, connection, and action that game will see in the wild.

And Rotward, the constant sniping at BioWare and its games does get old eventually. You might want to save it up for criticism of all the official info that will probably be released next year.

How funny would it be if it was like Wild Arms 3 and just ended at the one hour mark?

Schumacher is guaranteeing there won't be any bugs in DAI.

Rotfl.

Who knows how buggie it will be.I suspect though it won't be anywhere near as bad as BF4 allegedly is.

There's bugs ,but then there are massive bugs which have plagued BF4, Considering DAI is running on the same engine, nothing wrong with people having concerns .

Wonder if that constitutes a polite warning.

Rotfl.

If they have to release a patch or 2 it's no big deal.A lot of patches could be a concern.

From what I've read about Battlefield 4, the bugs plaguing that game are server-side, not technically the game itself. I don't think those classes of bugs are particularly threatening to a Dragon Age game, outside of the still only rumored multiplayer.

I can almost guarantee no. There are lawsuits over BF4 being unfinished and basically releasing a beta. I can't imagine EA would want to do that again.

The smartest thing is to do what Ubisoft did with Watch Dogs and just delay it. Stocks will take a hit, yeah, but they'll recover once you release the game.

I held off buying BF4 as an impulse buy because of how broken it was. Don't feel like buying it now. One shot to make a first impression.

I have no idea about BioWare's experience with the FrostBite engine. But it sure is rather worrying.

Ninja Stan has spoken, ALL HAIL NINJA STAN!!!
But to be serious most of the problems in BF4 was due to the servers having problems not the game, and in some cases it could be the players fault cause they may have bad internet connection or something like downloading lots of games at the same time. Also what kind bugs were there cause as I stated I haven't encountered any problems when I play.
