I have kind of a hypothetical question: is it possible to build a reasonably detailed covered entrance passage using vfx? A tunnel gateway model in an external area just seems to mess up the camera, so I'm wondering if it would be worth pursuing it using vfx? Thanks.
Building architecture using vfx?

You might as well make the placeables environmental objects. The only difference between environmental objects and VFX is that the former might fade when the camera enters them, which can be solved by changing the appropriate column in placeables.2DA if necessary. Although not having them fade risks seeing any internal back faces the model might have when the camera enters the model.

The other advantage of environmental objects is that they show up on the map and minimap, whereas VFX wouldn't. You'd just see blank ground on the maps instead.
Although to actually answer your original question; yes, it would be possible. You could even combine several models together into the one VFX, much as I did with my VFX statues.
