Batarians are faster than humans, yes. They make good pizza deliverers as a result. People perceive them as "slow" because they have no dodge, but that ain't so. Still, not near as mobile as a Drell.

Batarians have higher base speeds than any other character, only krogan can match their sprint and heavy weapon top speeds, the difference is drell fitness speed boost makes their top speeds similar, and drell have far better acceleration, if both have am3 the batarian would win a marathon, but the drell would win a sprint, and the short range movement is the difference

Edit, the juggernaut has a higher walking and heavy weapon move speed, I omitted it because he cannot outrun anything that isn't a spitfire destroyer

1200 shields for an adept is still ridiculous

I haven't played much with either kit but I could easily see the Batadept being better. I should just try them out

The batarian is the third tankiest adept, close behind the collector, and competing with the AJA, the Shaman obviously leaves the rest in the dust

Either no cm on either, or cm on both, the batarian has higher shields, but the AJA can get strong damage reduction, but because the batarians shield advantage is reliable, whereas the AJA gains and loses her dr constantly, he is better in my opinion as a tank.

thought you were talking abou AJA vs Slasher, the cm on all or none still stands, and the drell cannot out tank a batarian, maybe out dodge one, but the batarian is far tougher than the drell

I really like the Batarian slasher because he is pretty badass but he is without a doubt better than the Drell Adept.

He has reasonable health, unlike the Drell. Warp + cluster grenades are a better combo than pull/reave.

But most importantly you get the badass heavy melee by default.
