I remember reading on here awhile back he was rumored the composer. So I was listening to some of his music just now and looking up his bio. I came across this page:

wiki page

He's credited as doing music in Dragon Age inquisition. Interestingly enough, he's familiar with video game projects and most importantly, EA games. He's not credited for some that he did on that wiki page. I believe he also did Army of Two for EA. So going by his bio the relationship with EA is there. I know it's a wiki page and anyone can edit it...so it's far from credible. Anyways, I thought it was interesting to speculate some more.

His music in the Tudors, Borgias and Immortals is beautiful. I could totally see this guy as being the PERFECT fit for Orlesian themes. I hope he is the composer after listening to his music.

Haven't heard any of his work. I'd prefer Inon Zur, but he probably burned bridges with EA when he had the audacity to speak his mind.

A quick search and I found this article. Which states:

"He’s scored The Borgias, The Tudors (receiving an Emmy for each) and Pillars of the Earth for TV, and hit big in film with the success of this year’s Olympus Has Fallen. He also writes videogame scores, the latest being Dragon Age: Inquisition from EA/Bioware, due out next year. "

Seems legit.

Lol. If we don't something about this game, someone editing Wikipedia won't.

This was also mentioned in an interview with Jay Vincent, who composed for the "Fires Above" announcement trailer (scroll down for the English translation).

15. Have you had an opportunity to see anything more from DA: Inquisition beside the trailer? Maybe some new scenes that you are preparing the music for?

Unfortunately, I am not scoring the game. A colleague of mine named Trevor Morris (Immortals, The Tudors) is. He had done a couple of pieces, for the game, mostly drum work, that I had heard prior to writing the trailer, but for the most part, the work I did was among the first music to be done for the Dragon Age: Inquisition world. There may be some future trailers that I may be involved in; I've been working with a lot of people in the BioWare department for a very long time so they know how familiar I am with the Dragon Age universe. It's great because they trust me at this point to do a good job whenever they need something. To sum up, no, I haven't seen any more footage; I'm dying to see more, and any day now I expect to get a call from my contact at BioWare saying they have an assignment--because I can't wait to jump back into this awesome world.

So yes, it looks like Trevor Morris is scoring DA:I.

In hearing Trevor Morris doing DA:I, all I can picture is "If I Had A Heart" playing as the Inquisitor slowly steps out from the shadow.

It's from Vikings which he composed the OST (although not this piece I believe).

He's a decent composer. I'm sure he'll do a fine job as much as I enjoyed Inon Zur.

Thanks for the info! I've been dying to know who's going to compose the soundtrack. I did a quick search, and from a quick YouTube search I'd say I'm going to really look forward to hearing his music in DA:I.

But I guess nothing is set in stone until BioWare makes the official annoucement, so althoug this information looks fairly legit, I'll still take it with a pinch of salt. Still, I'm pretty exited!

I just listened to a bunch of his music on youtube. If he is the DAI composer, I approve.

Even though I still love Inon Zur's work.

I clearly missed this; what did he say exactly?

Basically what all of us said: DA2 was a slapdash job.  He thought his work on it in particular was too.  I agree, it wasn't his best work.

I'll have to check out his work because I am not terribly familiar with his work. I actually prefer EA/Bioware choosing people like this. He's not terribly well known, so it's nice to see them give a little guy a shot.

Fallout 3 is a good example of his stuff.  Fallout New Vegas not so much, since it's mostly ambient background "sound" and much of it is actually older Fallout 1/Fallout 2 tracks.

Inon Zur wasn't very good in DA. His music in Icewind Dale was great (and IMO the only good thing about that series), but he's been on the significant downswing since.

Maybe not in the gaming industry but he is in Hollywood. He's been nominated for several awards. If he is indeed the composer it makes me wonder if it's similar to Clint Mansell's contribution on ME3 which was minimum.

His music on Tudors especially seems to fit perfectly with possible Orlesian themes, IMO.

My feelings on the subject, as well.  I'm glad he's gone.  I was never impressed with the DA music, though I did think it was better in 2.  If that's him under pressure, maybe he should stay that way.

I have no idea who this new composer is, but hopefully he does a better job than Zur.  It wouldn't be hard.

I would have to agree. I mean...what I feel about Inon Zur's music is a bit odd. I feel like the music he composed fits the DA universe, but at the same time...I feel like more could have been done? It's hard to explain.

Anyway, If Mr. Trevor Morris is indeed the new composer, then awesome. :)

I have the same sentiment about Zur's music for DA, not a fan of it, the exception is part of the (main?) theme with the woman singing, so i'm glad they hired a new guy.

Well, I think the issue might be that he wrote background music for the game's gameplay. Not themes.
I think that might also have been what was asked from him. Bioware should maybe take note and see to it that Morris do a few melodic and melancholic themes too.

This is so effing exciting. My Spotify is chock full of his soundtracks. The man is bloody brilliant. The fact they went all out on music, as in getting him to compose and whatnot, makes me even more excited for this game. He can't have come cheap.

He did the Vikings soundtrack too, from season 1. Not sure about 2 as of yet.

This is going to be an utterly amazing soundtrack, well done Bioware on snagging him up!
