Don't let FTL fool you. NOBODY is good enough to do that, unless there is a good duration infiltrator in the lobby to do devices and revive people. :innocent:

Probably. I don't really keep track.

Do you remember any standing out as feeling especially weak on Gold?

People really still take damage over duration? How are you supposed to do devices or revive anybody with that evolution?b00g13man wrote...

Well kits that rely on health enemies or lack decent armor damage usually are less effective, for obvious reasons. Melee kits also become more dangerous to use as difficulty goes up due to the increase in the density of units with sync kills.nokori3byo wrote...

If you're asking if certain kits are not "viable" for gold, then answer is no. The player is the determining factor for mission success. Bad kits can be played well by good players and good kits can be played bad by bad players.

You're right! I just assumed everyone used duration since the damage is worthless if everyone is going to die anyways.

This guy understands!
For real though OP, no kit is really all that weak. Obviously some will deal less damage than others (especially when armor units start showing up), but even still a strong weapon and good equipment can make up a decent amount of damage.

Not everyone is as experienced as we are unfortunately. I keep running into n00b lobbies and they don't even have infiltrators in the team. Talk about setting up for failure.Schachmatt wrote...

If you know your way on gold you will have no problems to get used to the other kits. Once you know the trick to a certain kit it will play as smooth as your other to go kits for gold.nokori3byo wrote...
The reason I'm asking is that I've only recently gotten out of the rut of using only classes I like/am decent with in Gold PUGs. I'm about a third of the way through the list now, sort of working my way down from later-releases to vanilla. It keeps the game interesting anyway.

Not me, there are many squishy characters I dont deploy on gold. I only bring my A game to gold. Why use an adept or one of starter humans? I dont see the tactical use.

I know it's hard to stand against all that elitist behaviour. It's simple math that tells you that characters with low base shields are not suited for gold, or above. Sadly biower didn't balance around gold, so you end up with a lot of useless powers, like incinerate that is only good for crowd control.OMGsideboob wrote...
