my top 5 are:
1)N7 Fury
2)Talon Merc/Robin Hood
3) Melee EDI
4)N7 Shadow + Kishock
5)Ascension Stance Collector
Forgot to say why they are my favorites.
The Fury is just ridiculously fun to play, in your face combat is my preferred playstyle.
Talon Merc Bow build, it's just awesome. Really tough to pull off but it's so rewarding.
Melee EDI I play just like the Fury, nearly identical but more risky. obviously I can take those risks because of Repair Matrix. Launching Phantoms is always fun!
N7 Shadow, is a Sniper/Power build. I skipped Shadow Strike because it hardly has any use on Platinum. I love her movement speed and she isn't OP like some of the other Infiltrators.
Ascension Stance Collector, I use with the Venom and CSMG. works really good off host, I don't need to have extra power damage and AS decreases my cooldown.
I only put 5 points in Seeker Swarms and 3 in Dark Channel. he only really needs 30% DR since with the evos in 5A & 6A increase his damage taken by 25%.
so he gains 5% DR 20% Damage and 25% Recharge Speed while Ascension Stance is active.
The recharge speed & damage bonus really make a difference. All while having great survivability.
It's just an all around good build with a little of everything.

SS is awesome. Pretty much one shots phantoms. If you ever feel like burning a respec card this build has given me great results on platinum. Armor damage is better against Reapers/Collectors, shield damage on the sword is better against Geth/Cerberus. You can pretty much go around the map OHK'ing phantoms and other high profile mooks like dragoons and possessed captains, although some may require a Claymore shot to the face!

I only put 3 points in Seeker Swarms because that's all he needs for DR since a Cyclonic IV makes up for the last 2 evos in his fitness tree.
IIRC - Isn't the DR a rank 5 evo, so you wouldn't be getting any DR with that?

I can OHK Phantoms with an Acolyte shot and Electric Slash. It's safer and I'm not leaving myself wide open to be slashed down by the very Phantom I'd be Shadow Striking.
(I know what OHK means, shut up. lol)

It is. You then you would be better off speccing out of Seeker Swarms and using a Power Amp.

All I was saying was that a SS-centric melee build is perfectly viable on plat.
You should try it some time, I know you can pull it off and it is some of the most fun I have ever had playing ME3.

If i had to pick one though it would be my most played, the Valkyrie. I play the kit with a falcon, stagger, run in the face of things, detonate AF with warp. Rinse, repeat. She's just amazing.

of course or is, it just isn't all that "functional". Shadow Strike can screw you over in an instant. lolCrashUrStox wrote...

My point being that you can work around SS's shortcomings, it just takes practice. You would find that build fun.
