Dragons Dogma has child romances which is both weird and not unsurprising since the age of consent in Japan is 12 i think.
DD doesn't have "child romances". It has a FUBAR "Beloved" system that somehow allows one of the characters to become an option due to frequency of dialogue interaction.
So its basically a broken version of Biowares gift system from DAO?
Worse: there's no actual choice in the matter. The last character you maxed your reputation with becomes your love interest late in the game. It's turrrrrrrible.
My sister played DD and she is hetero and she ended up with at least 3 different female characters needless to say there were a lot of "WTFs" said that day.

None of Bioware's games are romance simulators. If that portion of the game was cut, I would still buy it. However, if you're the kind of person who buys Mass Effect or Dragon Age for the romance, I highly advise that you not buy the game. Instead, go out and spend time with your actual significant other. If you don't have one, find one.
Dobbysaurus dislikes this.

Skyrim's romance is a joke. Put on an amulet and attract a bride/groom. My first PC was a 'forever alone' elf. Didn't even take a companion with her because they are less than useless (or were to her anyway). My second I expect to go the same. And I am still enjoying it, though I can't effectively play a mage which is my usual class in games because I haven't got the hang of magic yet. But I still play.
The only thing that would be a deal breaker for me is if my PC can't handle the game engine. Then it's a hardware issue, not content.

I would play without romances. It's a moot point since I expect there to be something at least. I got Awakenings and you can't even flirt in that one.

You can't raise your pawns affinity for you so in other words you can't romance them anyway.
