Dragons Dogma has child romances which is both weird and not unsurprising since the age of consent in Japan is 12 i think.

DD doesn't have "child romances".  It has a FUBAR "Beloved" system that somehow allows one of the characters to become an option due to frequency of dialogue interaction.

So its basically a broken version of Biowares gift system from DAO?

Worse: there's no actual choice in the matter.  The last character you maxed your reputation with becomes your love interest late in the game.  It's turrrrrrrible.

I guess i will just not talk to my companions anymore..well except  the one i tried my hardest to make look like JT

You can't raise your pawns affinity for you so in other words you can't romance them anyway.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO D: so my Justin Timberlake pawn is just for show now? lame...

Did he bring sexy back tho?

Oh he brought it back alright and it ended with a tko ;)

Was he lovin' it

No as it turns out i was just another fling and as a result i cried him as river :crying:

I might get Dawnguard, I hear it was pretty good. I've only run one character through so far and still only did a portion of the game before I was ready to reroll (though I finished the main quest line). I also hope Bioware doesn't make Inquisition so open ended with like 1000 hours of game play running hither and yon doing this quest and that quest. My Bosmer was only 49 when I finished and I was so over her by then.

Marriage kills characters in Skyrim. It's a metaphor for life. Why would you want to get married to anyone in any game ever?

Deductible tax benefits.

A homecooked meal and a hundred gold a day, the cost of a bar fight, is what marriage is worth to you? Sounds about right.

My thief/assassin Skyrim character married Mjoll the Lioness, made her move into the smaller Riften house, and stay there to cook meals and buy my stuff while I'm out partying with Serana, allowing the Thieves Guild and Brotherhood to thrive.

Ah, love.

If I have any advise to anyone who gets Skyrim or it's DLCs right now, just get the Legendary edition.

Apparently I married that hagraven (who I killed) while drunk, so honor demanded I not marry again else Talos be displeased.

I'm seeing a lot of discussion about the ... erm, importance of romance in games.  Seems fine to me.
