I think the true disappointing part about the introduction isn't so much the writing, but the fact that after waiting 5 years for the Reapers to finally invade, I'm spending most of the invasion trying to figure out game play mechanics and slogging through waves and waves of Cannibals.

Not to mention fighting Cerberus for at least 60% of the game...

And having said organization completely overshadowing the primary antagonists of the series.

Boy, are there some really foolish comments in this thread. I suppose threads like these tend tend to bring out such people.

Clarify, if you can...

If you're just going to insult people for having opinions that disagree with yours, can you display some maturity and just not post anything?

I would forgive that if ME3 was left the way it was, only that it cut to black followed by the ending credits right after Kai Leng's body (finally) flops to the ground. Then whip another sequel that refocuses entirely on the Reaper war. Where Harbinger retakes his rightful place as the "numero uno" badguy of the story.

Think ME3: War of the Worlds...

You know, it's so ironic. We have these people complaining about the game supposedly being about shooting stuff and for supposedly lacking mature and elegant dialogue.

So what's the mature and elegant argument they use to proclaim that? By repeating 'Power fantasy! Power fantasy!' That's really all I've ever seen. Do does anyone else see the irony there? I sure do.

Of course, it's inevitable. That's all they do because that's all know how to do. They're incapable of anything aside from mouthing pointless phrases.

Meaningful heroism! Characterization! Nonsense! Obviously childish!

I know exactly the kinds of people you're talking about David.

Hardly. I can define every word I use and explain my reasoning top to bottom. All they have, and all you have is "Character is successful, therefore must be power fantasy."

That's it. Nothing else.

It's hard to say you're wrong when you claim unfaltering supremacy in every statement (even if you accept notionally that failure is possible).

Your reasoning has never been elaborated on in a relevant or reasonable manner, and you decry every one else as unintelligent.

Then communication with you becomes meaningless for us.

Care to tithe us with the reason why we should even engage you in conversation or look at your opinons as anything more than an entertaining if irritating showcase of internet insanity?

I'm a bit lost in where the irony is between people saying the game lacks mature and elogant dialogue, and appropriately calling it a power fantasy for lacking maturity and elogance.

The fact that they proclaim it as such in the most unintelligent and inelegant way?

I thought the irony was childishly obvious. They're calling it unintelligent and inelegant in an unintelligent and inelegant manner. Oh, the irony.

David's nonsense has begun to reach critical mass. Everyone should retreat to a safe distance before he blows.

Well, it is a subjective experience for all.

I think the '****ty writing' in ME2 made it the best video game that I've ever played personally.

That's pretty hysterical coming from the same guy who has said that bone is stronger than ship armor.

I found the beginning worse than the ending even with all the playthroughs I have. Once I get past the Mars mission its get easier to play.

When the best part of Mars is really just some mook saying holy **** it's Shepard, something is really messed up.

The best part of Mars is rushing through avoiding as much dialogue with T'soni as possible.

Ha!...it has got to the stage where people don't even defend ME3's plot anymore, they just say 'other games are bad too':(

Considering how frequently people who "defend" ME3's plot are labeled drones and derided, and how it's far easier to twist something negatively in the first place, it's become a futile endeavor over the past two years.   Everything's been said, many times over.  I think it's overhated, personally, but I also acknowledge its faults.

And yes, stupid writing and logic exists across the entire series.

Secondly, how does building crusible have anything to do with saving earth? Crusible is supposed to be a secret weapon. Why risk its safety by taking it to planet where a load of reapers are roaming arround?

We are missing the final component - the Citadel - which the Reapers conveniently moved to Earth (else all those krogan infantry regiments Shepard had been collecting would have been useless)

Look at how badly you cling to these fanciful tales of what you imagine I said. How very badly you need them, and how far you're able and willing to modify your memory to accompany them. You must be in very great need of a weapon against me.

You're already shooting yourself in the foot, David. No one needs a weapon against you.
