No thank you.

Edit: I've noticed a number of people say that EA said there would definitely be an mmp or co-op element to the game. IIRC EA said an online component. That does not automatically mean mmp or co-op even if the devs have looked at it. In that respect The Keep meets EA's goal.

Darkspawn Chronicles was not part of the DAO story arc, but an au type of thing and you got a cool sword. Gotta admit, I love that green flowy glow. If they placed something outside the game that could be mmp, I would be fine with that. It could be an arena thing, or a small quest. Maybe even a prequel type thing where you could play around with different builds, whatever.

I don't want somebody else's opinion or input. Any blanks in a characters motivation or story I want to fill in myself. Normally when I want to be social I do something really outrageous: I call up a friend and we get together, in person, and do something.

Other people like mmp, and that's fine. There are plenty of games out there. I would agree that for a roleplaying game it might make sense for it to be a complete mmp from the ground up (I'm not sure how that would work, but that's not my problem) rather than to add an mmp component to a single player game. I will even concede I might enjoy it. But for Dragon Age my motto is: My game, my way.

I still say a Horde mode (a la ME 3) would be the better choice in the long run should DA:I decide to have mp.

A co-op campaign would have several things going against it, chief among them being the possible interruption of a person's campaign.

A co-op specific campaign would be more likely, but I can only imagine the ire of SP fans if they had to deal with a MP mode for a narrative that has to be played with another person in order to be enjoyed.

We all know a wave based, survival multiplayer mode works; its prevalence in the numerous games out on the market are testament to that fact. Also, with the exception of the vanilla ME 3 (which was corrected with free DLC) these modes have had zero impact on their SP counterparts. As I have stated earlier in this thread, DA:I is more fast paced/player input/twitch skill related then the previous titles so a Horde mode would not be entirely out of the question, gameplay-wise.
