If Marauders are Turian Reapers, Cannibals Batarian Reapers and so on, husks are reaperfied humans.

Why are there so many husks? We encounter husks on Palaven's moon, on Tuchanka and pretty much everywhere else.

I think it's because the Reapers invaded Alliance space near the beginning and shoved a bunch of humans into transport ships to Reaperfy them on the way to invade other places.

What is unexplained is how so many Cannibals exist during the invasion of Earth, given that the gun is a grafted human.

Crazy Harby's Emporium in Khar'shan had tons of cannibal assembly kits to choose from. Why the hell would they even bother grafting a human in there? It's like the reapers have the essence of Tim the toolman Taylor. Just add more power. More species! Hurr hurr hurr hurr.

Well, Alliance Space was hit, and that leaves Reapers with a lot of Humans to harvest and turn into Husks.

Humans are moreish. You can't just have one you have to torture and abominise loads of them. It's not like the mission is to preserve them.

What happens to the Cannibals during synthesis.. or the Scion for that matter.

I've always wondered about that. The husks seem to become sentient after synthesis is activated. Would I really like to spend the remainder of my days as a self-aware abomination?

Here's another question: Garrus says people might have a problem shooting a friend so the reapers win on two levels, one less human shooting at their troops, and one more trooper. But, really. Would anybody have a problem shooting a husk? How would they even know that was Jane Doe, the next door neighbor? They all look exactly alike. Even Zombies are more identifiable than husks.

Cannibals are Reaperfied BATARIANS.  Take a close look at the introductory cinematic of them and see the four eyes, a dead giveaway.

The Batarians were hit first.  Ergo, there should be more of them when the Reapers first hit Earth.

If you didn't, there would be plenty of guns lying around.

Cannibals are Batarians AND a human corpse repurposed into one of their arms and modified into a giant hand cannon.

lol.. I wonder what Synthesis people think about that one.

This is another reason why the synthesis ending is just plain stupid. What happens to the banshees, for example?

Well, they wont be confined to a monastary anymore. No one will every want to sleep with a Bashee. :)

You're right synthesis is stupid. I wouldn't be suprised if comedians use that in their opening act.

With Banshees and the rest of the husks, I would use them for target practice for new recruits when joing the military.

Are you quoting the right post? Not sure what that has to do with what I said.

In any case, Batarians and humans would both be among the first victims. Humans colonies took over parts of Batarian space (parts of the Traverse and Skyliian Verge, I guess?).

It's fumy how they don't show these newly self-aware Cannibals in the ending slides. Actually, what about the Collectors too? And those hybrid Rachni things.. what about the Brutes? Make good doormen I guess.

Imagine the awkwardness when the Cannibal has to start talking to the human it has for an arm, or when the Scion heads start talking to each other... talk about awkward.

I wonder if the Banshees would get a job dancing in Purgatory.

Sovereign started to make husks out of humans at the beginning of ME1, which Harbinger continued to do (with the Collectors' help), I'm sure they have plenty of left-overs which they brought with them when they invaded batarian space, so they could deploy a few cannon fodder, while they were busy having fun making Cannibals out of batarians.

Oh, yeah... This. I was writing something for your post, but I decided to erase it(nothing offensive, don't worry) and ended quoting this one instead of the other one

Well, it seems that my single comment had gone and completely derailed the thread.
Yay, for me.

I really don't think that the devs fully considered the implications of making all reaper tech self aware.

Well, the Reapers seemed to have a plentiful supply of human husks since ME1 (as seen again in ME2).
