Also Awakened Collectors Via Leviathan....

Don't think about the plot too much in ME3.

But yes. Indeed what you say is a possibility.

And Shepard can be cloned... As evident in Citadel DLC.

So... Yeah. Clones everywhere!!!!

One could say it's like an.....

Attack of the Clones.

In MP? Sure, why not?

They bullshitted a way of playing as Collectors in a very loose-canon environment. Good for them.

Yes, biolocally we can bring protheans, already today some scientest are saying that we some day clone dinsaurs which have been more exinct then the protheans.

Who said that the dinosaurs were extinct?

Unfortunately, the reason why dinosaurs can't be cloned a-la Jurassic Park (which is what that little War Asset quest is referencing) is because the DNA will have almost certainly degraded over the course of 65 million years.

However, Protheans have only been gone for 50,000 years. So yes, if you got a complete sample of Prothean DNA, you could clone yourself some Protheans.

But what would be the point? You'd be making new Protheans, not resurrecting the old ones. They would know nothing of the culture that they came from, and they would be without a place in the modern world.
If you want to create new life, there's plenty of ways to do it - why specifically make new Protheans?

You recover lots of intact Prothean discs/shards in ME1...

"Let's stuff them all in one room and give them classes about the Prothean Empire and extinction"

Nope. That wouldn't work

Just imagine the wonders that could've come out of keeping the Thorian around.

Now that's something I can agree on, they arn't extinct! I got one in my home that tell me what she wants for dinner. She's also very social.

They didn't go extinct, they evolved. Some branches on their family tree died off though.

Anyway:

Wait a minute the Protheans can be brought back?!?!?!

In MP? Sure, why not?

They found a way to bullcrap the lore in a way that allowed the Collectors to be playable in a very loose-canon environment. Good for them.

Some. That's a very fun way to say almost every.

It didn't make that much sense, but things rarely do when they come in an obvious fanservice way.

Garrus and Wrex in ME1 were basically bland humans in alien skin. If it wasn't for their incredibly talented voice actors, they wouldn't have been even remotely as well-received as they were.

Super MAC has a fetish for his own species. How else do you rationalize the increasingly bigger role Cerberus got with each sequel?

Mass Effect is pretty much "humans under alien skin with slight differences here and there". Most of the aliens.

The difference is that Super MAC doesn't even try to make his aliens alien.

You could say the same thing about Tali, written by everyone's beloved Drew Karpyshyn.

She was a walking encyclopedia in ME1, so yeah.

Cloning dinosaurs so Krogan can ride them into battle... The only hope is that it was an in-joke or easter egg or something.

Anyway, why would you actually want to bring the Protheans back? I suppose there's no harm in bringing some back, enough to develop a sustainable colony or something, but it seems kind of pointless. Either they would have none of their culture, or they would in fact restore their culture - the culture where they asserted dominance over the entire galaxy and destroyed anyone they didn't supplant.

I've just realised the Protheans are basically Cerberus.

Or they could create a new culture, distinct from the old.
