And she does nothing to fix it. Acknowledging a problem is not fixing a problem.
Well, in ME3 she stops talking altogether, practically.

Ashley does not lack screen time in ME3 (compared to other characters), but most of them are wasted horribly. I remember a good amount of her dialogue revolves her youngest sister Sarah and her husband. That topic if I remember correctly shows up in almost 1/3 of all her conversations, and I don't know about you but to me I just don't care. I might care if it's her sister that dies, or if that husband is the same guy who was kind of a jerk to Sarah in ME1. It's like the writer wants to give her some drama and add to her character, but don't want to risk anything and in the end it came out bland and just wasted precious screen time designated to Ashley.
Same with Miranda and Oriana. My eyes rolled into the back of my head the first time I met up with Miri in Me3.
