I think in order for the Catalyst not to be an asspull you'd need to rewrite some parts of the series earlier, too (this is partially done now that ME3's canon story includes Leviathan, but it needs more than that imo). The most sensible thing if you can only rewrite post-Anderson death would just be to remove the Catalyst and have the Crucible fire when Shepard activates the console.
I'd respond to this, but it would just p*ss you off ![]()
Lol, I see what you did there.
Holy crap, you have just found the inspiration Bioware had!
How have I never seen this before?!

Facepalm indeed, Miranda.
Why is Ashley annoying? Because she voices concerns that TIM might have devised some means to brainwash you? Which by the way as Miranda reveals was a real possibility all along?
Because this concern only works in a vacuum. Ashley ignores the fact that Shepard has been in Alliance hands for something like 6 months, and that they might be keenly interested in whether he'd been compromised or not. She ignores the possibility that they might've scanned and interrogated him until his DNA began to unravel. She ignores the fact that their superior officer reinstated him right in front of her, indicating a level of trust likely based on information she does not have.
She CHOOSES to distrust Shepard based only on her own speculations. I for one find that annoying.
What's her romance like? How much content does she have? I don't know that I could ever carry out an ME3 romance with her because she's such a pro-Destroy character that I would feel specifically sad about going with Synthesis or Control like usual while that close to her, but is it as disappointingly limited as her dialogue in general?
I just know that from watching my ex play, though. I love Ash, but I've always offed her. My ex offed Kaidan and watching her play ME3, it really seemed like she got less dialogue out of the woman than I did with my usual pick.
I really should keep her alive sometime...
Not as good as Liara or Garrus. But better than most of the others.
I'd respond to this, but it would just p*ss you off
Naw I'm fully aware that this is what MEHEM is, and like I've said before I have nothing against it. I am just the sort of person who can't ignore canon: if something is then it is, regardless of how bad it is.
Man, it's a shame I don't like MEHEM, because I have the easiest time ignoring canon out of any fan you will ever meet.
You like the endings anyway. ![]()
Well since we are already discussing Ashley and sucking, They should have added a renegade interrupt were you pull out a Black Widow and blow her head off on the Citadel.
Nope.
I've decided that the next trilogy run is finally the one I'll be giving MEHEM a try. It's something I want to see through, canon or no. The curiosity has gotten the best of me.
@OP,
well yeah, how else do you think she rose so rapidly in rank?

Bad writing.
But still, beautiful.

Ouch.

What? You thought she got those Botox injected lips for nothing?
What? You thought she got those Botox injected lips for nothing?
She's always had those lips. Dat lip gloss makes them more pronounced.
Gunnery Chief Williams was conceived by creator L'Etoile. Creator L'Etoile also wrote the codex and verified scientific accuracy of science fiction concepts in the mass effect series.
Most importantly. Creator L'Etoile succeeded at the difficult task of compiling together the soul of a poet and a soldier in Gunnery Chief Williams. We found the resultant character disarming---beautiful---refreshing---unpredictable---yet consistent.
However. With the departure of creator L'Etoile from the home world, an attempt was made to continue the character as Lt. Commander Williams. The creators who overtook this character did not succeed at replicating creator L'Etoile's feat. As a result, Lt. Commander Williams came across as drunk---shallow---indecisive---uninteresting---in stark contrast with the fine earlier design.
In general, we consider the Virmire Survivor story line to have been squandered. We calculate a high probability that in better hands, the selection who lives on Virmire would have had a greater impact on the overall story line than it currently does.
@OP,
well yeah, how else do you think she rose so rapidly in rank?
Should I speculate on why Miranda is one of the few people to meet TIM "personally"? ![]()
Old news. Shadow Broker intercepts have her hooking up with random people on the extranet to try and get pregnant (which, why a fibroid is an insurmountable obstacle but death isn't is beyond me. What would be harder to overcome is that a "genetically perfect" person with a genome artificially enhanced for disease resistance would in all likelihood have children with deathly genetic conditions if they tried to conceive naturally - there's another essay there).Should I speculate on why Miranda is one of the few people to meet TIM "personally"?
I'm a Miranda fan and I still laughed.
