I was sure that BDtS choice would carry over.It was hinted at hugely in-game that terrorist-batarian guy would be seen again if left alive.

Damn. So I let Balak get away to save that useless girl and I don't get to track him down?

I think the Balak thing will carry on as dlc and it will continue through to ME3. Atleast thats what i think providing you dont kill him.

I see microsoft advertising the dlc packs lol. I hope people enjoy it. BTDS kicks ass and PS was something new.

I could have sworn that it was said that the apartment from PS would carry over into ME2.

At least one dev has previously confirmed 'a certain Batarian' would appear in ME2. Maybe Chris just doesn't realise? Seems weirder for one of the team to say something what in when it wasn't.

Casey Hudson confirmed in a recent interview that ME1 DLC does not currently impact ME2.

Interview can be found here:

I don't remember any major spoilers, but follow the link at your own risk.

Is the DLC for ME1 Worth it? I haven't got it but was thinking about it.

I'm almost positive a dev said Bring Down the Sky will have repercussions in ME2. Didn't Casey say that in the Best Buy chat?

They said on the old forums that the effects from the DLC would follow you through the trilogy. This was back in early fall tho, so plans may have changed.

Chances are that bdts related stuff will be carried on in more DLC for ME2 and 3, would make sense to carry the DLC on with more DLC seeing as it was optional, wouldn't make a lot of sense to have BDTS impact the retail game, seeing as it was optional.

Saying BDTS should not impact the game because it was optional is saying the side missions should not affect the game because it was optional. And if this is true, why should we buy the DLC for ME2 if it will have no impact?

Sorry, just venting, still love you guys.

If the BDtS non-inclusion turns out true, I am disappointed, but I understand..I can see how it can be hard to put in. What would players who didn't buy the DLC or even play ME1 do? There already is enough bonuses for us elite ME1 players anyway...but whenever I let him go, I thought to myself..."I'll get him next time." Now that I know there is no next time, I'll just leave him to bleed him to death...an emotionally stirring sequence for me, I found it absolutely beautifully done.

I'm a bit disappointed... only because this means i really did WASTE 5 dollars on pinnacle station. Would of liked to atleast see the apartment stick around. I could of bought a value meal and gotten closer to a heart attack.

It doesn't mean that it can't effect any future DLC, or even ME3.

That's a bit disappointing as BDtS was one of the few moments in the game where I felt truly "torn" and would have liked to have seen it carry over, but as others have stated... perhaps in future DLC or ME3? =/

Well that makes my choices that effect an entire planet feel rather pointless, honestly you out things like Conrad in but nothing from BDtS ? Wow thats dissapointing, and I dont even get my home from PS,though I probobally lost that after they thought I diedImage IPB

If the decisions don't carry over at all then I wouldn't bother getting the DLC.

i don't think continuing BDtS would work very well as DLC. if you chose the Renegade ending there wouldn't too much content there.

It was really irritating that the content was Gamertag-attached, because I started using a different Gamertag and couldn't use BDtS. The insulting part is that the system pretends it's an error, just like the forums would pretend there was a linking issue when you were banned.

As some have pointed out, he specifically said ME2. Could show up in ME3.

So Mass Effect Galaxy, which only those who have a iPhone or iPod Touch can get, has an impact but BDtS doesn't? Something's not right here.

Unless Chris is teasing.
