Ok, so I starting playing Awakeing for the first time, Everything is going great. I get to town buy a Manual for the Rogue works fine. But one for me it shows it working as part of the purchase when I buy it BUT it doesn't activate the specialization. Am I going to have to start all over? If this is a bug I'm not even going to bother playing. (And yes the my charater meets all the requirments)

I've never experienced that myself, but if you're on PC you can work around it with the console
