Yes. The Lag Cannon is the only weapon that gets better off host. There isn't much BS in this game that a close range triple raider shot will not solve.

Raider kills mooks better.. and offers better survivability vs bosses since its more "bursty" then the pirhana.

I think the Raider is better than the Claymore on the GI, even though they play the same hit and run playstyle. It just does more damage..

So good with an Adrenaline mod. Cloak, get real close, wreck the face, retreat behind a wall and reload cancel.

What gets me with the Raider is how much it kicks. The high impulse is to quick for me to compensate so I have to aim low on the first shot to hit the head on the second shot. It's good, but more accuracy usually leaves me hitting less when I ADS.

I can get by all that... It's the ADS reticule that I can't stand.. same with the Piranha. I hipfire both weapons exclusively. I compensate for the lack of ADS by just getting really close.

I get by it all too, I just prefer a weapon that is ADS friendly. It feels more natural to me to aim...which freaking blows sometimes thanks to auto-aim. Claymore is the only weapon I like shooting from the hip.

I use stabilization 3 AND barrage 3... the reason is because that second shot is VIRTUALLY in the same spot which helps for quick next target aquisition and more headshots

I used to hate it too, but the Pirahna's reticule actually makes a lot of sense if you look at its pellet spread pattern...

 The Raider is an AWESOME gun. According to the weapon stats spreadsheet (post balance changes), the Raidar X reload cancelled has the 2nd highest multi-clip DPS in the game, behind the Reegar, and ahead of the Harrier, Pirahna, Talon, Hurricane, etc (and way ahead of the Claymore, unfortunately, as fun as the Claymore is)- its my weapon of choice for the AIU (especially since that skinny little sexbot running around with a gigantic, phallic-looking shotgun is priceless), but I haven't tried it on the GI yet; I always go with the Pirahna. Its easy to imagine how much face it would shred, my only concern is the garbage range- OK for the AIU with crutch matrix, er, repair matrix, but for the tissue-paper soft GI? Makes me pee my pants a little. Will probably try it out anyways, though.
