Starfang can be a 1h or a 2h.

I always get the single-handed Starfang so that Alistair can use it with a shield.  There's a better 2H sword in the mages tower, imo anyway.

depends who's using it...if you give it to wynn as a 2h it preety sucky.

I would imagine
Damage wise: 2H, or maybe dual wield the 1H with another good sword.
Defense: 1H with a shield

Only for warriors and the Keening Blade is comparable. Rogues do better with daggers. Arcane Warriors get more mileage out of Spellweaver than Starfang.
