Yeah.

How else could someone accurately judge between them? Image IPB

Of the provided guns, Talon. If I had to pick something else, claymore.

Talon is on of the most well rounded guns, not to mention that shield multiplier. Light weight, packs a punch, strips shields and decent range.

Yeah. I use it on most of my characters (casters and weapon builds likewise) anyway.

Venom. All the other guns have decent alternatives.

N7 Valient. I know it wasn't listed but if I had to pick and keep a weapon for all classes that would be my pick.

If you could only ever have one of these 5 guns, which would it be? They all drastically change the game, either by giving you reliable DPS with low weight penalties or change the way the game is played. Aaaaaaaand there aren't polls anymore on BSN. Cool.

Venom
Hurricane
Acolyte
Harrier
Talon

EDIT:
This isn't about if you could only have one gun, what would it be. I chose these guns because they all have something special to them besides damage. If you think something else should be here instead, here's my reasoning.

Venom - Instantly transforms the game. Every class becomes an AoE destroyer that seeks out anything from Phantoms to Geth Hunters just for the lulz.

Hurricane - Amazing DPS for being light and the biggest ammo capacity of all the heavy hitters. It fits hand in hand with an Acolyte for literally any class.

Acolyte - The original game changer. Super light and effective for casters but also great for the noncasters by stripping shield and handling on-host Phantoms. When this came out it was found on almost every character.

Harrier - Simple, easy to use, with great damage. It could be argued a Claymore should be next to it, but the weight of the Claymore limits the classes that can use it without changing the way the class is played. The Harrier is easier to use too.

Talon - Harrier meets Hurricane meets Acolyte. A proper balance of all three. Easy to use, great damage capacity for its DPS, a bonus to Shields and Barriers but is just as deadly against Armor and Health with AP/Drill ammo.

With the exception of the Harrier and the talon, these weapons do not instantly change the game. I know a number of people who unlocked the venom or the acolyte, who simply have not picked up on how to properly use these weapons. And the Hurricane has so much recoil and such a small clip that most people without the proper mods or some ability to deal with stability issue miss half the time.

That's not to say they're not awesome weapons. I love each of these guns. But at BSN, I think we have a tendency to assume that everyone does or should know the basic things we know. The Acolyte is bad-ass, but I can't convince my friends for the life of me to try the damn thing out. Even when I show them how it's done. It's frustrating as hell because, yeah, it does flip the script on some space-fools. But just having the thing in a match is no guarantee that it will be used to its potential.

Most people who go into a match with a shiny new Venom in hand are probably not going to perform well with it. They're not going to immediately understand the dynamics of the weapon and thus use it to instantly change the game, so to speak. They gotta learn the ropes.

With that said, my choice would be the Harrier, despite its ammo woes, which are manageable by shooting everything in the face.

I don't really care how well someone who doesn't know how to play does with something. I care about the input of someone who can use all of these to nearly the same degree. The odds are that people who can evaluate the performance of all these guns at X has enough knowledge and ability to make use of the weapons properly.

Thanks for you answer.

I would say the Arc pistol, as I use it on the most varied types of kits, but its not on your list.

So it's the venom for the pure fun I have with it.
