It's a very close one between the acolyte and talon for me, but I'm gonna go with the acolyte. nothing else can do what it does. There are other weapons that can replace the talon, I can do okay without it.

The venom can go to hell. That gun sucks. If I could, I'd throw it in the trash can.

Hurricane. Light, awesome dps, correct ammo capacity, usable at all ranges with a recoil system.

... Okay, okay, I'll try to be serious. I'd take the harrier. The Talon would be better because it's more versatile, but I could never bring myself to stop playing the harrier Hsol, so... Harrier for me!

I know a number of people who unlocked the venom or the acolyte, who simply have not picked up on how to properly use these weapons. And the Hurricane has so much recoil and such a small clip that most people without the proper mods or some ability to deal with stability issue miss half the time.

That's not to say they're not awesome weapons. I love each of these guns. But at BSN, I think we have a tendency to assume that everyone does or should know the basic things we know. The Acolyte is bad-ass, but I can't convince my friends for the life of me to try the damn thing out. Even when I show them how it's done. It's frustrating as hell because, yeah, it does flip the script on some space-fools. But just having the thing in a match is no guarantee that it will be used to its potential.

Most people who go into a match with a shiny new Venom in hand are probably not going to perform well with it. They're not going to immediately understand the dynamics of the weapon and thus use it to instantly change the game, so to speak. They gotta learn the ropes.

With that said, my choice would be the Harrier, despite its ammo woes, which are manageable by shooting everything in the face. 

I don't really care how well someone who doesn't know how to play does with something. I care about the input of someone who can use all of these to nearly the same degree. The odds are that people who can evaluate the performance of all these guns at X has enough knowledge and ability to make use of the weapons properly.

As you wish. But that pool of input is going to always be a biased sample. You'll never know if the results they produce are based on the actual, innate quality of the weapon or on their high level of skill as a player. I've seen incredible players clutch Platinum with crappy weapons they forgot they had equiped before the ready timer ran out.

Any weapon or character can become great in the hands of a great player. That doesn't make the weapon great.

No idea what I would choose. Talon is my favorite weapon, Venom is the only weapon that keeps me from always using tanks or infiltrators off host on Plat. I guess I would choose Talon and never play off host on Plat.

I'm not a fan of the Venom and the other guns are replaceable.

But forced to choose I'd probably take the Hurricane.
