Right after meeting Owain during the Broken Circle quest you encounter a group of three blood mages. Once you have defeated them, one of them begs for mercy and you have three options:
o kill her
o let her escape
o recruit her to fight the darkspawn

The last option seems to be available only if the Warden has one of three specialisations (one for each class):
o Assassin
o Blood Mage
o Reaver

My current character (elven mage) has recruited her, and so the girl should show up with the mage army in the final battle. At least according to the grapevine. She's definitely not waiting with Petra and Keili as I told her to...

Anyway, I'm curious about the consequences of the other two options.

It seems that opting to kill her lets you kill her a second time; not the usual cutscene-kill with the killing knife appearing out of thin air, but normal 'combat' with XP. In any case the story should end there, right?

Regarding the option of letting her escape, ISTR having heard that this could trigger some random encounter with blood mages which would otherwise not be available. Can anyone confirm that? If so then it would certainly be the tastiest option for a power-hungry Sith like Darth Munchkin...
