Liara - Destroy

Boo!

Control for sure.

I know people often think Liara would be for Control because she seized control of the Shadow Broker's network, but that is night and day from opting to become some sort of A.I. abomination and god-king (or queen) of the Reapers. The two aren't even remotely similar.

Hardly, both seize power for the greater good.

Also, Control would be out of character IMO.

Liara: Poor Rila... but I'm glad she set off that bomb, Shepard.

Shepard: You're not upset the monastery was destroyed?

Liara: No, not after what I saw. I don't care that they were Ardat-Yakshi. To be turned into such creatures? Nobody deserves that.

What similarity is there between forcing others into becoming monsters and turning your self, out of free will, into one for the good of all?

I'm just agreeing, that's all :)

Good. Glad to see I am not alone.

there's no actual way to tell OP, as the other (subordinate) team members don't get to explain themselves that much and usually just defer to Shepard the qualified decision making skills. They don't get to hear the catalyst commentary or realize the illusive man is 'on one' , even Miranda Lawson who brought Shepard back shares much/anything in the way of 'cosmic' intentions.

Liara and Garrus.
Garrus: destroy.
Liara: destroy.
In fact all of them: destroy. Unless they perform such massive turn around in the last 3 minutes to go against the entire aim of the trilogy. Oh, wait..

Well, based on the diologue between characters on certain decisions that have to be made throughout the game which touches on freedom, control or destruction. (Legions LM in ME2, Geth-Quarian peace or destruction, Genophage Cure, etc.) Each member you bring with you normally has some type of say so of their personal feelings towards subjects which are som parameters to gauge how one could possibly be in the chamber. Nevertheless, I agree with you, that not A LOT or should I say not enough diologue is given throughout the series to determine who would pick whatever. But I think enough is presented to us, their stories and input throughout the series to give us enough to speculate if they had the chance to hear out the Catalyst...

Liara & Garrus - Destroy

I think most of the squadmates would be Destroyers however, with the exception of EDI, Legion and Morinth. It would be like the Collector Base decision, where with the exception of one or two squadmates everyone favored Destroy.

I'm not sure it would be that uniform. To give a few exaples, I would see Kaidan and Tali as potential non-Destroyers if you've negotiated geth/quarian peace - Kaidan for his generally non-ruthless nature, and Tali after hearing of the way the geth are helping to speed up the readjustment of the quarians' immune systems. (Not saying she'd do it just for the quarians, rather that it would make her more receptive to the general idea of a future shared with formerly hostile AIs.) Samara might well go with Refuse if she didn't think any of the RGB endings were compatible with the justicar code.

I do think you could be right with Samara and choosing Refuse because of the code. I also like to think if you brought aong Grun and Wrex, those two might refuse only because they think they're the greatest bad posteriors in the damn Galaxy and would convince Shepard they all can take them on...

Becoming Shadow Broker didn't involve dying and/or becoming some sort of Reaper abomination. It also didn't involve abandoning the original mission and allowing the Reaper fleet that was threatening the galaxy with annihilation to remain fully intact, operational, and theoreticaly capable of annihilating galactic civilization at a later date..

Im sure many of the players who chose Destroy would have also chose to seize control of the Shadow Broker network, as the two scenarios and the potential consequences are so far different.

In both cases someone is potentially being turned into the abominations she abhors. Worse, Control continues the enslavement of all those billions of souls who were used to create the Reapers (against their free will) in the first place.

I know, but all that stuff was just to 'advise' not devise the ending decision(s).  It would still be Sheps call to appoint an opinion of who would do what 'in the end'. So it's kind of moot.

Seriously, I wanted to be  a star gazer but....Image IPB

Upon meeting the Catalyst....

Garrus- "I've only got 1 bullet... But it's enough you stupid brat."

Grunt- "Shut up kid from star wars... I'm hungry. And your the only thing here, and what did you do with sH3Perd, sHEPeard, Shepard!!!!!"

Both would shoot the tube. They wouldn't even hesitate. Not for a second.

Javik blowing the Reapers to hell. I think that's an understatement. His hatred for them surpassed blowing them to hell, maybe through hell??? :D

Hell is too good for the Reapers.

The galaxy would probably have to offer unto their Reaper overlords the finest of virgins to appease their wrath.

"I am the catalyst."
"Godd... actually, sod it Shepard, Shoot the kid, blow this place and let's go chose blue baby clothing."
