synthesis completely rejects an individuals right to self determination, imposing on them tech which no right minded individual (apart from shepderp who picked synthesis) would allow themselves to be impregnated with.

Why not allow it? Free bionic upgrades sound kinda cool to me, depending on what they enable me to do.

The big problem with Synthesis is that we don't see what organics' new capabilities are. That video should have been from Joker's perspective, not EDI's.

Violation of the individual on a galactic scale

Yup.  Control is the same way, though not as physically invasive.  It basically says neither organics nor synthetics are competant enough to govern themselves.  Big Brother Reaper has to be there to "guide" them.

It's not a matter of not allowing it.  It's a matter of self-determination.  it may sound cool to you, it it may be a violation to others.  There are people in the Mass Effect universe who are opposed to genetic or cybernetic upgrades, regardless of whatever the capabilities are.  You going to hold them down and force it on them "for their own good"?

Which is why both choices are disgusting and why blowing the Reapers sky high is the only logical course of action that would preserve individual freedom.

That or doing a galactic last stand.

There is Justice in the Synthesis imposition. Shepard is executed.

Yes, because Custer had the right idea. We should totally follow his lead.

I didn't say it was a good idea.

While part of me agrees with that sentiment,...Refuse is just....stupid.

Heh, I should start a "Custer" playthrough.
