I want my Inquisitor to light up a Cuban and down some G&J before every battle. Bonus points if she purposely blows it in peoples faces during conversations.

stop writing about your live
we should talk about virtual reality

apart from that pipe is named pipe becouse the most needed part is PIPE
and this PIPE should be long enouth to let the smoke cool and the smoke will start to transform back to carbon so pipe actually works like cigarete filter

Smoking is probably not lore-friendly.

Yes but GTA prides itself on doing the the things society deems ugly. Dragon Age not so much.

As far as I know the GTA series hasn't had any churches blown up yet.

Dragon Age needs more moments of relaxation. That's what made the Citadel DLC so great. You and your companions were hanging out and having fun. Not everything had to move a relationship or a storyline along. Some of it was purely for the sake of spending time together.

Drinking and smoking in a tavern with your party members? Sounds great.

I want the ability to drink myself into an emotional stupor after some traumatic event and have my companions need to scrape me off the floor while I sob big sloppy tears all over them. I am not even joking :(

I hope that I can smoke and drink to my hearts to the extent that my character dies early in the game and I get a game over.

I also want to be able to run my own cartel and get a monopoly on the the southern Thedas tobacco, weed and alcohol rackets.

Kind of unrealistuc given the circumstances that are going on in the game

Taking a week to party and watch movies and play space chess and arcade games and have a break while Earth, Palaven, Thessia, Tuchanka, etc. are getting glassed was unrealistic considering the circumstances. It was still totally awesome though.

Hmm. Well, considering some of the requests from folks — "Please, can we torture prisoners?" — regarding DAI, this is one of the more, how shall we say, civilized ones.

So, yes, if Bioware wants to give the PC the option of drinking and/or smoking, then so be it. Still, I think my female Inquisitor would look downright *odd* with a pipe between her lips ... so, yeah, she's going to be a nonsmoker.

Tell me about it.  Don't forget the enslavement threads too.  <_<

Yeah, I can't see that for my Inquisitor either.

Drinking possibly but smoking? in a game? with the way smoking is looked down upon in society at the minute, I highly doubt it.

I am not asking for cigars...Just pipes. It was very common for people to smoke pipes in medieval times as well as in many fantasy literature. & I don't think smoking some herb-based substance is going to give you cancer.

Where do you think Nicotine comes from?

and how do you know that absolutelly everything in thedas works the same way as tobbaco?
if you will smoke elfweed it maybe increase your health regen or something like that

Look smoking is clearly part of the lore as the concept reveals. It exists. God knows what it is (tobacco, weed or some magical elf plant etc) but it's there in Dragon Age.

We know smoking is unhealthy but so is murdering and killing people. Yet the game allows us to be a raging murdering bastard so why can't we be a raging murdering bastard who smokes and drinks? Seriously people, stop projecting your real life concerns here, I don't smoke but why would I be opposed to the feature allowing the character to do so if it adds to their personality? Likewise I'm not a alcoholic but I'd like to give one or two of my inquisitor's a drink problem.

Unfortunately drinking in DA2 did nothing other than lead to an ambient cheer for Hawke everytime he/she entered the tavern. Give us some sort of fun drunk system where we stagger about, get into fist-fights or see if we can make it back to bed without falling over.

Or, Iron Bull has to throw us over his shoulder, and we collectively have to stagger back to the Keep. Preferably while belting out old Thedosian show tunes......
