I figure here, we could post what kind of noobs we're seeing, so we can see how alive the game still is.
For instance, I just had an N7 44 with an Avenger I and an Arc Pistol I join me game.
Let's assess the state of the MP

Plenty of new players on pc, in fact, it is rather common to see people with level I gear, level 2-3 gold weapons (when they're gold ones xD) and no consumables...
Now, for as good as it might be, I must confess it is rather annoying to find them in regular gold matches...expecially when they play vanguards, infiltrators or soldiers, which rely mostly on their guns to do the work.
However I must say I'm impressed by noobs playing with adepts, sentinels and engineers, they're actually rather good.

I waited close to 15 mins last night in a U/U/P lobby, only to have 3 sub 100 N7 ratings show up with destroyers and adas rifles.

I had a N7 2231 that was energy draining a flying crab causing it to activate its bubble, the first couple of times I thought it was a accident but after about 5 times I realized he was just dumb.

I logged in for first time in about a month a couple of nights ago and instantly joined a game in progress. Had 6 U/U/G games, all sub 20 minute, some well under, in a row. Only one newbie in all that and that was fine. Joined 1 friend for second game (again in progress) but after that in a new lobby it filled up quickly. There is nothing wrong with new players, I think its healthy that the game is still getting peoples interest.

I haven't played in a few weeks, but my last lengthy session, we were seeing mostly sub-N7 120 players on Platinum.
We were happy to carry the ones putting on equipment, of course.

I probably haven't played in about half a year or more. Maybe I never will again but if I ever tried again I would play like a noob.

I have N7 100s or less joining Merc and I in Platinum lobbies all the time.
We carry them but it's probably the wrong thing to do, I just don't care.

Was playing FB:G/R/S because no Gold lobbies would let me join and I found quite a few new guys. All were below N7 100 and were only using starter classes/weapons except one guy with a lvl 7 Vorcha. Was funny match everyone kept dyeing at an alarming rate and I couldn't keep reviving them so I just carried them.

Still seeing alot of fresh players on both ps3 and xbox myself on all difficulties. Just promoted all my characters and I was seeing double digit n7s on bronze and silver. I feel like some of the newer players want to jump up in difficulty before they are ready as they are trying to play a little catch up. I dont mind playing with them because I can carry, but as someone who is still fighting with the rng, I would prefer if they stuck at a level where they could contribute a little more and not spectate the later waves.

There are still plenty of noobs who haven't been playing for long still knocking about on platinum on Xbox. Probably bought the game cheap for Christmas. Either way, the game is still alive...

I've been playing some lolsilver lately to finish a few waves/extraction challenges and there's been lots of sub 100 N7's. I'd say in general the majority of players are sub 500. So still a lot of new players playing the game. Hard to say how long this game will hold their interest, but I've had no issues getting into games. The gold games I've played lately have been pretty good mostly with N7 500+ players. Haven't played plat in a few weeks so can't comment on that.

I just talked my buddy into buying this. I'll be showing him the ropes in Bronze soon which should be funny.

Playing some here and there (Gold), and seeing a lot of new players. That is great to see actually, after almost 2yrs. Definitely doing some carrying, but some of the new players are pretty good.
The bright side of carrying is that the new players can watch you and learn from you.

Ran into an N7 1 hosting a Gold lobby yesterday. He rage quit on wave 4.
Played with an N7 99 & another N7 ~350 on Platinum. There are constantly silver level players in Platinum lobbies these days, but Gold lobbies are where everyone who should be playing Platinum is.

The last couple of times I have played UUG (XBox), I have had problems finding a decent lobby. Lots of people using really bad weapons (saw one with a Locust VII with a stability mod) and no equipment. Lots of melee Juggernauts. Lots of people who won't use rockets except on Wave 11, and who either waste all their gels by rage gelling or who won't gel at all. One game in particular was a Dagger game (I hate that map), with a Human Adept who wasn't leaving the control room except in a body bag and two Warlords who thought using Biotic Hammer against Praetorians was a good idea. Not a lot of fun.

played some Platinum last night where two of the player have had the game for less than a week and they communicated and really helped out.
...of course there was some guy named KRIMSONKRAKER5 just killing it with a different kit each match. Who was that masked man?
