I have had a few experiences similar to that!

Been a few Gold PUG lobbies in the past that had some average-to-good players and one brand new player. After rocking my Turian Sentinel, I'd see the little newbie change to the same kit and throw on a Mattock, and it's just adorable. A few even made the armor blue, just like mine.  I have to admit, that's a successful way to keep me in the lobby helping and teaching (well, as long as I don't get hit with "waiting for other players" and get forced to leave post-match  ).

Yeah, if the person switches to OG Turian, especially TSent, I will stay in the lobby no matter what

The anecdotal evidence suggests otherwise. Whenever there seems to be thread discussions about who is being horrible to whom in this game, the screenshot of the hate mail always seems to be that of an Xbox message.

Having said that, I always put a lot of weight in people’s personal experiences, simply because they are experiencing the reality of it. As you have played on both platforms you are in a better position to say it as it really is; assuming you PUG a lot on Xbox. Not sure that assumption is true, since most people prefer playing with friends whenever they can.

I pug equal amounts on xbox and ps3, same difficulty, same kits and loadouts. Do I get hate mail on xbox? Sure. But I've gotten a lot more on PS3 and it's a little more pathetic there since you can't send a voice message and you have to actually sit there and type out all of your butthurt.

That said, I get to play with friends a lot more on xbox because everyone can connect and we don't get stuck at waiting for other players every other match, etc.

Simply put, unless you play on both platforms, you are in no position to make judgements based on one or the other.

As far as this whole PS3 vs. XBOX thing, I think Cato and Max are on equal footing.

I've made many wonderful friends on Xbox. I apologize to you guys if I made you feel like I think you have egos... That wasn't my intent, but I spoke rashly, and without clarification.

Hm. I get stuck plenty trying to connect to players, same issues exists on Xbox. And don't remember ever receiving any hate mail, even though there's no party chat feature (you actually talk with more pugs). 

Not sure if any judgements can be made about this topic. Not sure what the topic is. Or what we're talking about.

I just woke up.


Oh oh oh, PS3ers have smaller epeens, though.

I play on both platforms and will say this:

I've met randoms on both platforms who are civilized, mature gamers who you can have a conversation with. I've also met randoms on both platforms who are loud, obnoxious and rude.

I've met more clowns on xbox but I also have substantially more play time there than ps3. The feeling I get is that the ps3 community is more laid back. That doesn't make it so, it's just the atmosphere there is more relaxed when it comes to random games. As far as the friends I have on both....

You all suck.

I received hatemail on my first ever PS3 multiplayer game(not mass effect).

Being arrogant and condescending about the community you're a part of is such a higher state of being than hatred is.............

Maybe you are doing it wrong?

Jest aside, similar experience, except I got hate mail once because I left a lobby after they bumped it from silver to platinum. Hence my bias towards thinking people are nicer on PS3 and yet limbs has pointed that they got (numerous?) hate mail both on PS3 and Xbox.  Makes me wonder why some gamers seem to be picked on more than others.
