 My BatSol took my Avenger out for a spin on Gold earlier, and it did pretty well, so I was wondering...anyone else use Common weapons on Gold?

From time to time, but only with friends.

We also did one time a platinum game with only level 1 vanilla humans and common weapons.
We managed to all extract but the game lasted... 43 minutes. lol. Never again.

I don't mind using the Tempest and the Locust. Used Avenger up until I got my Lancer recently due to it's light weight with moderate RoF and Recoil.

The Mantis works really well if you can headshot. Though I kind of failed last time I used it when everyone else was using OP kits... <_<

Not any commons, but I wear the heck out of the uncommon Mattock on Gold all the time.

The Mantis works well on Gold.

Avenger/Shuriken/Predator can all prime targets for casters with minimal cooldown, so you can throw them on an H-Sent, or something like that, and they'll work.

Other than occasionally for kicks, though, no... I don't really use commons at all.

On ps3 I only have CSMG I, so I regularly run with the Locust & Tempest. I've also run the Katana & Mantis on Gold from time to time.

I ran the Katana on the BF3 soldier as part of a themed challenge and it still does pretty good against reapers on gold.

I use the avenger, tempest, eviscerator, mantis, viper, locust, phaeston, phalanx, often on gold. I like variety and using the same weapons gets boring.

Common weapons with explosive rounds. But explosive rounds II. Explosive rounds II never get any love.
