That trailer was pure genius! I actually preferred that to any of the cinematic trailers done by blur. If I were BW I would stick that launch trailer in place of the current commercial (impractical I know because of its length :s). I imagine it'll do all the selling you need!



P.S. epic win, I actually can't wait now. Living in the UK I'm not sure I can bear the extra 3 day wait!

The last few videos for Mass Effect 2 were less than inspiring but this one hit every level of pure awesomeness. It felt like watching an epic trailer for Mass Effect: The Movie and not a video game. I'll be downloading this baby on my 360 when its posted up on Live.

If you go frame by frame at 1:55 point you see a planet that looks alot like the planet you saw you in your visions from ME1.

Btw, I think I think I've almost convinced one of my friends to get the game after making him watch the launch trailer! *chuckle* Hmm, seeing if it has a similar of effect on another friend later (I ordered him to watch it as well, but he was in the middle of prepping for an ICC raid in WoW, so I should hear back later - muahahaha).

Literally the BEST video game trailer I have seen to date, and Ive seen quite a few trailers.

Ive watched it 20+ times, and it still gives me the goosebumps EVERY TIME!

I have to say, with the Mass Effect games and Dragon Age...Bioware is creeping up near the top of my list of greatest game developers of all time. I love the CGI videos created for both games (Dragon Age "Sacred Ashes" trailer is my vote for best, though).



Is it just me or does it appear that Ashley is possibly killed in this video? An interesting twist if she is your love interest.

I would wager that depending on who you saved in ME 1, will be the one taken in that clip.
And yeah it was Ash, so I would assume that if you let her die that it would be Carth... er Kaiden

It's called: Heart of Courage by Two Steps From Hell. Two Steps From Hell is a music company that produces music for blockbuster movie trailers. The 3rd Star Trek XI trailer featured music by the studio.

The Mass Effect franchise is shaping up to be probably the greatest sci fi franchise in the entertaining industry history! Hell it already is one of the best! I can only imagine it after a few years when it has grown in other directions. Its not only going to be big, its going to hit the world hard. Mass Effect is a phenomenon that i have never seen before in my years of gaming! I am a big sci fi fan and not just games. I dont want to name other franchises here, but im a huge fan of atleast a few. And all of those other franchises took decades of developing and growing. Mass Effect is growing at a mind blowing pace.

I just wanted to thank you guys! I want to thank you for all your efforts! Thank you for bringing us Mass Effect! Thank you for everything you've done for us gamers and hell for the whole gaming industry. You are shaping the future of this industry! BioWare has brought me great joy over the years and you keep doing it! Just wanted to let you know that me and the other guys and gals here will always support you!

Well, over a game?  I have to say that wouldn't make me want to be single and give up the wife and baby as I can enjoy them all.  But, being single definitly makes those weekend gaming marathons much easier to achieve.

In the ME1 launch trailer. Ash gets Virmire'd and in the second she gets kidnapped by monster alien bugs, hmm....



Anyway, saw that trailer for the 5th time today and it is still EPIC. The entire thing just oozes excellence! The part where Shepard yells for Tali gives me goosebumps every time. I can now say that this is definitely the coolest trailer in any media that I have ever seen.
