So after choosing to intimidate the highwaymen into giving me their money I fought them and brought the leader to dialogue mode once his health reaches a certain level. Well i attacked him when he tried to back us off and we killed everyone and i personally beheaded the leader myself. I looted his corpse... only for his headless body to attack me and my squad with fists and a shield. I tried running away, entering the chantry and even starting dialogue with the shiesty merchant by the lothering chanters board and he still chased after my squad. The ichabod crane bandit had no health. Sadly, Morrigan didnt have any AOE attacks to use so i couldnt "shock" things right. Had to restart from a save. Anyone else had a funny glitch like this?

The wiki mentioned something like that, and it seems to be due to the interaction of several bugs in the game engine with the bloody awful cutscene crap.

The main factor seems to be that death is flank-triggered (i.e. an HP change where the result is 0) instead of level-triggered (HP at 0 or below). Hence if a mortal creature is still alive at 0 HP - which is where the b0rken cutscenes come in - then it becomes virtually immortal, because at that point you cannot change its HP to 0.

One thing to try is putting some major distance between the zombie and your party by way of cutscene teleport; if that is enough to de-alert him then he may start to regenerate, and as soon as he has at least 1 HP he should become mortal again.

P.S.: IIRC the wiki recommended shattering as a remedy (not an option at the start of Lothering, though, except for mage Wardens).
