He better not. Unless I get to kill him again in a more satisfying and brutal way and burn the body this time I don't want Anders or Justice anywhere near the game, especially since both would be potentially retconning death for the SECOND time. >:(

A great example of what I was talking about, Rassler.

It seems as though the BSN can't go one whole thread about Anders without someone talking about how they hate him.

It won't break me if they decide to bring him in for a hot minute or not. I can live with a codex . I have only killed him twice in my playthroughs. I'd like to see something that comes with letting him go.

My F!Hawke ran off into the sunset with Anders and I loved his character in DAA and DA2. I hope his only appearance is as a codex entry. This player wants to play a new game not keep revisiting the old ones.

I agree with this 100%.

I don't care all too much about Ander's fate, but I am deeply interested in seeing what happens with Justice/Vengeance.

Well with the concept art touching on stuff like Arlathan as well as the main plot involving the Fade, it is a very high possibility we might see Anders, Wynne, Justice and even Duncan...

In the Fade...

So there is a way Anders could appear in DA:I while being dead.

But the dead don't go to the Fade if I recall correctly.

Which is why I have answered none of them. When they cannot even comprehend what ALIVE Anders means... They come and rant how they want to kill him again its just amusing to watch. It means if you killed Anders he won't appear in your game. but Justice might. But in case Anders is alive in the save you are uploading to DA:I he might appear.

Have you read the link I gave you? here is a quote about David Gaider's personal opinion on Anders:

"My impression is that reactions to Anders runs the complete gamut from adoration to loathing. Considering what he does at the end of Dragon Age 2, that’s totally expected. He’s a polarizing character, and responses to that last act of his seem to vary from betrayal (“God dammit, Anders!”) to rage (“It was as if everything I despise about him exploded all over me… in a, uh, totally non-sexual way!”) to indignation (“Why didn’t he just ask me— I would have helped him!”) to support (“He’s awesome. Fight the power!”). Which has been interesting to watch, from my perspective. I wouldn’t call any of those the right reaction… he’s in the game to make you react somehow, and he succeeded admirably in that respect."

When devs create a character that some people will surely hate there is no reason to rant about it. Whatever you say about Anders will always be your opinion not a fact as he was not created that way. Or in other words he is too grey to make a black or white judgement about him.

I think that he almost certainly won´t be a companion and I don´t think he will have whole DLC. BUT I think he could have a possible cameo.

No matter how people like him or not, he was very important for DA2 and for the mage/templar conflict. In Asunder they said, that even though the circles were ready to rise against templars, Anders was the catalyst of the mage/templar war. So I think it would be no surprise if he appeared just because of the role he has.

I think we could bump into him somewhere like part of our quest. And if you killed him in DA2, you there will be Justice instead (in someone else´s body or in his own physical body he could gain thanks the tear in the Fade).

Also Gaider´s line "If you killed him, he's really dead. Justice may be another story." is just giving me impression, that there´s possibility we haven´t seen them for the last time.

I was bored and I did a very long search on the internet to find clues and I don't think anyone else can find more. I left no stone unturned!

Apparently Adam Howden (Anders' voice actor) said he might not work on DA:I but shockingly at jan 9th in a tweet he said he is recording his 1st work of the year:

You do realize hes a voice actor he could be doing something else for another game or movie cartoon or whatnot

Not to mention he could be working on DA:I but on a different character
It is a common practice to use the same voice actor for multiple characters

In a thread about Anders' possessed corpse possibly being in the game despite having been killed (possibly twice) and Justice who was half of DA2 Anders personality returning no matter what you did, do you expect no one to say they hate those characters and this idea? Only people who like Anders can reply to a thread about Anders? I say it again: I don't want Anders or his corpse or his ghost or justice or vengeance or any combination of them in DA:I. They were awful and annoying enough in DA2, let them stay there. I hope that justice's VA is doing some new voice as most of the VAs have done more than one character.

Again with Anders, Rassler? Are we going to have to find someone to stage an intervention?

Lets just say I'm the greatest Anders fan alive, you are either on my level or lower. :P

Didn't you read the link I gave? It doesn't matter as David Gaider himself said Anders exists to create unique reactions from each player. Some hated his guts, some didn't care and some loved him. He also mentioned that none the reactions is the right one as the diversity of the reactions was the whole point.

We usually don't have the luxury of removing characters we hate from games or TV for that matter. The fact that you've been given a chance to kill Anders (not Justice) permanently should already make you happy. Many people killed Leliana and yet here she is but David Gaider confirmed that if you kill Anders you wont see him again. I don't see why Justice controling Anders appearing in DA:I bothers you this much. You might be able to kill it as well.

Also Justice's voice actor only did Justice in DAA and in DA2 he did Justice and Martin (Isabela's friend who traded poison) and Martin speaks like for 15 seconds in total. So I'm guessing he is indeed voicing Justice in DA:I.

I certainly hope the Keep takes care of this plot flag. I have killed Anders every single time and if he pops up regardless I will be sorely disappointed.

How did Anders force the mages to leave when the mages chose to leave at the end of the Asunder novel?

Indeed. He forced only the mages in Kirkwall to fight, since the alternative was death.

So did he do it on behalf of mages or his own view of how mages should live?

David Gaider confirmed that if Hawke killed Anders, he is ultimately dead. Justice, however, may be another story.[10]
