I'm trying to convert some music files from The Witcher in OGG format for NWN (BMU) for private use. Any recommendations for a utility?
Thanks!

Ogg is only a container format. As such, a simple conversion to mp3 then to bmu through the mp3tobmu utility on the vault would be sufficient. If all you want is the ability to convert from ogg, I would suggest the free version of dBpoweramp (www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm) along with the necessary codec (www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm).
I know of no direct means to convert straight to bmu from anything but mp3 (which is essentially just an mp3 with a specific byte header the NWN client uses, thus no further compression or loss to the audio stream).
Being a container format, it's probably a good idea to find out if they utilized lossy or lossless compression for the game audio. Ogg handles lossy usually through Vorbis or Opus and lossless through either FLAC or PCM (comparable to uncompressed wave).
Starting with uncompressed sources is always the best option, but not one that is always available.

I use Sony Soundforge when having to convert OGG to MP3/BMU.
Additionally, you can rip the Witcher soundtrack from YouTube using Free YouTube to MP3 Converter v. 3.12.9 Build 725 or latest from DVDVideoSoft. Then use the MP3 to BMU converter from NWVault.
Additionally, I suggest Audacity if you do not want to go the route of SoundForge. Audacity does not have OGG support, but with the above free program from DVDVideoSoft, you can rip the entire Witcher Soundtrack from YouTube, load it into Audacity, then cut the tracks out you like and save them as individual files.
FP!

I did several of these for the CMP back in the day when CDProjekt released the files for free. You can extract them out of the CMP if you have it as such:
At the time, I used winLAME for any and all conversions. It works great for OGG and is open source. May not be so great if you don't use Windows....

CD Projekt The Witcher - Beat Them Up mus_cmp234 CD Projekt The Witcher - Golem mus_cmp243 CD Projekt The Witcher - Old Manor mus_cmp253 CD Projekt The Witcher - Shaent Blathanna mus_cmp256 CD Projekt The Witcher - Tales of the Witcher mus_cmp258

WinLAME works just fine! Thanks everyone!
For those that are curious, The Witcher soundtrack doesn't contain all of the music files from the game. My goal is to extract & convert the missing music and have all of The Witcher music available for a NWN module I'm working on. I've used MP3toBMU for years but was racking my brain on how to convert from OGG. Sometimes the best solutions is the one right in front of my nose. . .
Thanks again!
